Newly refurbished 3-bedroom apartment, where you find beaches, restaurants, pubs & casinos. The apartment is also just 5 minutes away from the entertainment area of Paceville.

A newly refurbished 3-bedroom apartment with style! Apart from the great location, this apartment is comfortably large walking distance to any amenity. It has two accesses on both streets.

The apartment consists of a 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom and a kitchen living area.

The apartment is very well lit, having an entrance hall leading to one side to a twin bedroom and on the other side two family bathrooms one with a shower closure and one with a bath. Both bathrooms being very spacious.

Following through the apartment, one can find an internal courtyard on one side where it gets a lot of natural light from it.

Also the apartment has a further large master bedroom fully air-conditioned and a further single bedroom to which the 2nd bed (folding one) can be added at no extra costs for the 6th person to sleep in.

Furthermore, it has a very spacious and fully equipped kitchen leading to a well lit living area, fully air-conditioned, which leads to a sunny balcony over another street having an outdoor a seating area for 4 persons.

This apartment is just a minutes away from the St Julians promenade which is full of shops, restaurants by the sea, ice cream parlours, internet cafes, daily cruise ships round Malta, or ferry boats that take you to the capital city Valletta.

The promenade is ideal for walking or jogging. It is a great area to relax and enjoy the great panorama with boats passing by. The beaches are located just opposite the apartment and are ideal for swimming or sunbathing.

St Julians is also famous for its sprawling night-life, with pubs, cinemas and entertainment centres minutes away.

Pleasant apartment but manager was not welcoming

Apartment was clean and well maintained generally. It was a good location close to Spinola Bay bus stop (5 min walk down hill). In winter the apartment was not warm and the manager told us there may be an extra charge for refilling the gas cylinders so we were sparing with its use. The microwave did not work and was not replaced during our stay. The master bed was uncomfortable and sagging. When we asked for it to be replaced the manager said no one had complained before. Then offered to bring another mattress which arrived 2 days later and it was not new, smelt of cigarette smoke and was equally uncomfortable. It needed to be put on top of the first which was a adequate but unconventional solution.

Although only a minor point there was no soap in the bathrooms and only 1 toilet paper roll. Manager Paul and Ralph said this was standard but reluctantly brought in more. Overall, the management did not go out of their way to make us feel at home.

I would recommend it to a friend for its position but the management need to work harder on customer service and presentation (we have felt much more welcome at other apartments in Europe during this family holiday).

Owner's Response: Thanks for your comments and immediately we took action for all your comments. As for the mattress it was true that you were the first tenant to comment about it and it was the christmas week where all shops where closed and we had to find a remedy to accommodate you as fast as possible. In fact it is now changed again for future clients. As for the shampoos as stated in emails we do provide the minimum essential to start with then it is up to one's discrepancy to buy more infact we do not advert on any website that we do provide them, those were in the welcoming pack and were meant to be for a nice thought. As for the gas heaters there was no extra charge if you did consume more in fact the host was addressed with this issue if he did communicate as such to you. The microwave was now replaced and fully functional for future bookings. In the end we are glad that you have spend a great stay and hopefully we'll see you again

Till a few years ago , St Julians was a quiet fishing village. Nowadays development has changed it completely and it spreads all round St. Georges Bay, Spinola Bay, and Balluta Bay.. Most of the elegant houses along the shore line have gone to be replaced by blocks of apartments, restaurants, bars , cafes and hotels. The roads leading to St Julians village (now a town) proper remain largely untouched. The best preserved are in the area of Balluta Bay. A few villas with beautiful facades and large gardens. One villa has been converted into a restaurant forming part of Le Meridien Hotel. There is also the large neo-gothic Carmelite Chuch in the midst of small houses that used to be summer residences for the rich Valletta residents. There is a large block of apartments built in the art nouveau style overlooking the square where you can sit and have a coffe or drink and watch the world go by.

Back in picturesque Spinola Bay there are still a number of old boat houses belonging to the fishermen that still remain with their traditional fishing boats sheltering in the bay. Some boat houses have been converted into restaurants which are quieter and romantic. The bay is particularly lovely in the evenings with the lights of the restaurants and street lighting reflecting in the calm water of the bay. On the other side of the bay is the promenade (very popular) which goes all the way to Sliema and beyond. Ideal for an evening stroll or to sit at a bar/cafe and people watch.

Up the hill you will find Portomaso - a private yacht marina with restaurants and bars, a shopping complex and apartments (all very upmarket) with a lovely atmosphere. Nearby is the Hilton. There are a number of 5* hotels - all overlooking the sea on the coast north of Paceville. There is also a Casino at the Dragonara and another at Portomaso .

Notes

  • Minimum booking is four nights, prices will be quoted pro-rata according to the season.
    Deposit of 40% is required on confirmation. Preferred deposit payment methods are by bank transfer or by Pay-Pal. While the remaining balance is to be settled ideally 4 weeks prior arrival.

    A refundable breakage deposit of 300euro is to be paid on check in either to be settled by visa or cash. The security deposit will be refunded via credit card if paid as such after a maximum of 30 days. Or via bank transfer - if paid in cash - with bank charges incurred to the beneficiary bank account [should s/he not be in SEPA country] after a maximum of 15 days. Thus the beneficiary bank details will be required to refund the deposit.

    Due to cleaning necessities the check-in time for the apartments is generally 2.00pm and the check-out is at 10.00am however if there are no arrivals on the same day the apartment can be kept for longer.
  • Also please note that the price being paid for the property includes basic utilities
    - 100KWh- for 1 bedroom apartment
    - 150KWh- for 2 bedroom apartment
    - 200KWh- for 3 bedroom/ 4-bedroom apartment
    - 300KWh- for villas

    free per week with the apartment which is more than sufficient for a weekly stay. However if the inclusive amount of KWh will be exceed, an extra charged will apply at a rate of 0. 35c per KWh. Other than that there are no other hidden expenses or charges.

    Cleaning of the property prior the arrival and after departure is included in the price. Any extra cleaning during accommodation will incur extra charges. Two sets of towels per person and one set of linen per bed is also provided by us, then it is up to one's discrepancy to wash them as much as desired.
  • Long lets also available rates upon request from owner.
    Apartment also available for long term booking of 6 months period maximum with a monthly rate, in such case utilities will not be included in the rate. Please do ask for quote should you be interested.

    Please note that the rental price does not include the Environmental Contribution tax, introduced on June 2016 amounting to €0.50c per night up to a maximum of €5 for each continuous stay in the Maltese Islands. This applies for 18-year-old and older.
