Our fantastic ski apartment in 5* L'Ecrin des Neiges, Val Claret, Tignes offers 3 bedroom luxury accommodation facing the slopes for up to 8 persons. The apartment was completely reconditioned recently including new beds, mattresses and duvets.

We have been awarded a '3 pillow' rating by Tignes Owners Partnership which means a 'Completely renovated apartment with good quality and new furniture. New kitchen equipment (dishwasher, ceramic hob, extractor fan, fridge).' In other words - all modern conveniences! See below for more details about the apartment.

If you book direct with us you avoid paying the local tourist tax of 1.50€ per person per day and you get a discount when parking in the underground car park.

Located in Val Claret, the 5 star L'Ecrin des Neiges is one of the most popular apartment complexes in Tignes due to its location at the slope level. It is superbly positioned within 3 minutes walk or 1 minute free bus ride (bus-stop outside the complex) from 5 ski lifts. The apartment is on the first floor with a large balcony facing south toward the Tichot slopes with 6 chairs and a table. There is an excellent restaurant (Chalet Bouvier) in the complex.

We accept credit card bookings direct on this website. We also accept PayPal and payment by bank transfer in sterling and euros.

The warmer temperatures throughout the French Alps in 2013-14 led to many resorts closing runs, but Tignes was hardly affected and 2014-15 was excellent from November to May. It truly is a snow-sure resort with great skiing. The 2016 season has been even better with over a metre of base right through to the middle of April.

Of course the glacier is open for skiing all year round. Our apartment is available throughout October and November for longer bookings (minimum 3 weeks) if you need a base for ski training. For more details about what is included please get in touch.

It's also a great location for a summer vacation with all the events hosted by Tignes. Bikes can be kept safely on the large balcony overnight and the list of sports is extensive, including some unique to Tignes. In the summer we offer our clients free Sportignes passes which gives free access to many of the sporting activities throughout Tignes including use of the lagoon pool in Tignes Le Lac.

The spacious (68 m²) apartment has three double bedrooms (one with en suite shower room) and a well-equipped open-plan kitchen/dining/living area with an extremely comfortable double sofa-bed. There is a further bathroom (with bath) and a separate toilet. All linen, towels and bath robes are included.

The living area has a large double sofa and we provide 3 relaxing chairs plus stools and coffee table.

There is both WiFi (free of charge) and a direct phone line in the apartment. There is a LCD TV with International TV but the view from the balcony over the slopes at sunset is a better watch! There is a large cupboard for all the ski clothes.

There is a heated boot-room with lockable personal locker for all the ski-gear including pegs for 8 pairs of boots. There are laundry facilities by the boot-room.

A space in the underground car-park can be booked at reception or we can arrange this for you at a cost of €80 for the week and there is a lift up from the car park to within metres of the apartment. Or there is an outdoor car park nearby (€75 for 7 nights).

The reception is staffed during the winter and summer seasons and they can arrange bread and croissants in the morning. They are very helpful and can supply extra linen, washing supplies and even a fondue set, as a guest discovered (see reviews).

The apartment is within a few minutes walk from lots of shops and restaurants.

Excellent apartment and location

Picked Val Claret because it is high and sure to have snow in December - it didn't disappoint. Apartment perfectly situated right by bus stop (or you can walk to lift if energetic!) Well appointed and equipped. Heating more than enough. Highly recommended.

Val Claret Revisted

This was our second stay at Gill and Scott's lovely apartment in Tignes - Val Claret, having stayed there a couple of Christmases ago. Once again, we were not disappointed.

The apartment is wonderfully cosy and the ideal place to be after a hard day on the slopes. We're a family of four adults and we had plenty of room to spare, enjoying a comfortable living room as well as three double bedrooms (one ensuite). It's fully equipped with all the "necessaries", is beautifully furnished and has a balcony that looks out onto the western slopes of the resort. Wonderful all round.

It's location on the first floor in the E'crin des Neiges complex is perfect for a short stroll (via a lift) to the Val Claret Hight Street with its restaurants, shops and ski hires, and even better, the resort's regular buses stop right outside to whisk you away to the slopes in a few minutes.

All in all we've twice been delighted with this apartment, it's excellent facilities and superb location, and we will certainly stay there again in the future. Highly recommend.

Perfect Location and Sunny Balcony too.

Great apartment with everything you need. Been here a couple of times. Clean, neat and well looked after with underground parking possible and the Aqua Tonic/Gym just outside the door. Warm ski locker room, very short bus ride to the piste (actually walkable), plus a short walk to all the shops and restaurants. Best of all a fantastic sunny balcony for that gin and tonic after skiing....................! Would recommend to all.

Location

We bought in Tignes because of its fantastic snow record and in recent years have really benefited from this and had amazing skiing in March and April. In 2014 we skied the second week of December in good conditions when others were trying to ski in the rain. We chose this apartment because of its excellent location in the resort being close to both the slopes and the shops and restaurants. Val Claret is the highest and best served of the villages.

Tignes shares the large well linked ski area called L'Espace Killy with Val d'Isere and has over 300km of pistes, 150 shops, 115 bars, numerous ski schools including ESF, BASS and Alliance Snowboarding. Renowned for its extensive off-piste, it has become one of Europe's premier resorts.

Due to its altitude Tignes has a very good snow record which has made it one of the most reliable ski-resorts in Europe both for skiing and snowboarding.

L’Espace Killy boasts a fast and efficient lift system with 97 lifts and all skiing standards are catered for with several free lifts on the beginner slopes. For the more adventurous the incredible off-piste also has unusually good lift access.

Also there is a half pipe, boarder cross course, some great freeriding, ice diving, dog sledding on the lake, hang gliding, skidoo riding, ice climbing, parascending, skating, snowshoeing, indoor tennis and heliskiing.

In the summer there are 16 lifts and 20 km of pistes available as well as a huge amount of summer sport activities. There is also Acroland where people on snowboards, ski's and roller blades hurl themselves off one of the four jumps and flying straight into the lake. And there is always the challenge of the highest golf course in Europe.

Tignes has one of the best winter ski records and a huge ski area with regularly updated ski-lifts. In Summer the skiing on the glacier is amazing, the highest golf course in Europe is quite a challenge, the mountain biking is excellent and the entertainment round the lake is brilliant!
