2 Bedroom Apartment, Large Sunny Terrace, Peaceful Location 2 Mins From Centre

Built in 2012, this charming two bedroom apartment is situated in an idyllic location only 2 minutes walk from the centre of Samoens yet adjacent to an open field looking up the mountainside. The express lift to the Grand Massif ski area is less than 1km away and the free ski bus is a 400m walk. The apartment block comprises 8 apartments and Chalet A03 is situated on the ground floor. Free WiFi is included.

Decorated throughout in a modern alpine style, it is bright and airy in the summer and cosy in the winter months. The hallway leads to a double bedroom with built in wardrobes, a second bedroom with bunk beds and storage, a shower room with sink and separate toilet. The modern kitchen is well stocked and includes an oven, electric hob, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine. A large oak table easily seats 6 people. The lounge area has a sofa bed which comfortably seats 3 people and can be used to sleep two people if required. Two comfortable chairs provide additional seating and it also has a TV with DVD player and Nintendo Wii games console. The lounge looks out through a large double glass door onto a large, west facing 22m2 terrace with a beautiful sunny outlook over a green field towards the village centre. The terrace is not overlooked and provides a very pleasant outdoor space for families to enjoy. There is an underground car parking space, a large cave to store ski and boarding equipment and additional external residents parking.

The apartment is very conveniently located with the main square of Samoens being just a 2 minute walk away (less than 300m). There are a large variety of speciality shops, a small supermarket, boulangerie, patisserie and greengrocer all within less than 5 minutes walk. A wide variety of restaurants and bars are also within easy walking distance, with the nearest just 300m away. The village centre also has a number of hire shops for ski and boarding equipment and bike hire in the summer.

Why Andrew and Fiona Bradley chose Flaine - Grand Massif

Having visited Samoens in summer 2008 we found it to be the perfect alpine location with plenty to offer in both summer and winter. We love the traditional atmosphere and buildings of the village and have found the local people extremely friendly. We were attracted to the property itself by its location near the village centre and larger than average lounge/dining area for a property of this size.

What makes this apartment unique

Although the property is only a few minutes walk from the centre of Samoens it is also in a picturesque and quiet setting making it the perfect location.The iconic le Criou mountain rises behind the property forming a stunning backdrop. The large 22m2 terrace to the front of the property has a lovely view across a field towards the village centre and is ideal for outdoor dining and lounging.

The properly has an outdoor dining table to comfortably seat 6 people with excellent views across an open field up the mountain. All bedding and towels are provided. The property will be cleaned after use but you are required to leave the property in a clean and tidy state before you leave.

Lovely property, good location for town center.

We had a lovely stay here. This is a cosy little apartment full of character. My daughter loved the bunk bed even though she's too little to sleep in one yet! We definitely hope to return in the future. Fantastic to visit a holiday home that is clearly that - a home. Well set up. Nice to have books and games rather than needing to bring absolutely everything away with you. Thank you.

An excellent property in a perfect location.

The property and location exceeded our expectations and matched everything in the owners' description and more. The chalet was furnished and equipped to a very high standard and was immaculate.

Samoens is a charming, picturesque and friendly place, there are many good bars and restaurants to choose from and, best of all, it's only a few minutes walk away from the chalet.

The owners, Andrew and Fiona, provided an excellent service from our original enquiry through to the prompt return of our security deposit.

We would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone wanting to explore the French Alps.

We loved this apartment!

We had a fantastic stay. The apartment was cosy, comfortable, clean and well-equipped with everything our family needed. Really impressed by how close it is to the centre of Samoens while being really peaceful. We had a mix of weather so it was great to be able to enjoy the sunshine out on the terrace, but also watch a film on the sofa on a rainy day! Perfect location for exploring the Alps - we did some great walks, white water rafting, a high ropes course - and enjoying good food in the local restaurants. Highly recommended. We hope to go back!

lovely apartment in great location

We had a fabulous trip to samoens - lovely apartment for a family of 4. Fabulous location - we walked into the village every evening and there was always something going on. Also the small supermarket was very handy. The petit train is just 5 mins walk away which takes you to the lift although we did have a car with us. The only thing we didn't get along with was the garage - bit too tight to get into with our car! We used zig zag for ski lessons who we found to be more English speaking than ESF.

Would definitely recommend and very likely to return

Lovely apartment, great location

The apartment was very comfortable and had all the facilities we needed for our stay. There were 4 of us (2 adults, 2 children) and there was plenty of space for us. Nice to arrive to made-up beds and fresh towels ! We received good directions and lots of useful information from the owners before we arrived. For a ski holiday, the location is excellent; it is a 5 minute walk into the centre of the village and around a 5 minute drive to the large car park at the Gondola. Ski/boot locker in basement was useful. We would recommend this apartment to others and would love to stay there again.

Perfect location

We spent two weeks in this lovely apartment, which was clean, secure and exactly as described. The accomodation was well proportioned and the outside patio area was private and perfect to sit and admire the view. The kitchen was fully equipped for the days when we chose to eat in, rather than visiting the many excellent local restaurants. The property location, just a couple of minutes walk away from the town centre, was ideal.

Samoens itself offers opportunities to take part in loads of activities and we tried parapenting, horse riding, high ropes, tennis, white water rafting and hired mountain bikes. We also did several walks taking in the spectacular scenery, and visited Annecy.

Andrew and Fiona were great hosts, always on hand to answer any queries we had.

Our teenage daughter also greatly appreciated the fast and reliable wifi available in the apartment!

Samoens is a traditional stone mason's village set in the mountains of the Haut Savoie area of the French Alps. Preferred changeover day is Sunday to Sunday but we can be flexible. Please note for stays of less than one week in the low season, the rental price will differ from the online price visible, please enquire for an accurate cost. All prices are based on occupancy of 4 people. Additional guests are charged at £30 per person, per week (maximum 6 people in total). The security deposit is required with the balance and will be returned within two weeks of the end of the rental period after our housekeeper has confirmed the apartment was left in good order.
