About the property

Chalet Traumli

Chalet Traumli is supremely well located with only a four minute walk to Wengen's train station and village centre. It also has direct ski access to the Mannlichen ski lift and the Ski School's beginners' slope. Also when returning from a day's skiing, Chalet Traumli is positioned conveniently at the foot of the return ski route.

Chalet Traumli has three comfortable apartments. These can be occupied separately or combined to provide accommodation for up to 8/10 persons

Wengen is one of Switzerland's oldest Alpine ski resorts and certainly one of the prettiest. Indeed it attracts as many visitors in the summer as it does in the winter ski season.

The village, which is perched on the mountain side, is only accessible by means of a funicular railway #leaving cars at Lauterbrunnen car park#.

Visitors come to this car-free resort in the summer to hike, mountain bike, play tennis, swim or simply to enjoy the magnificent views in this unique part of the Bernese Oberland. There is much to do both in summer and in winter and all set against the spectacular backdrop of the famous Jungfrau, Monch and Eiger mountain range.

About Liz & Michael Moore

We live in the Chalet during the winter and some weeks in the summer. We have lived in Switzerland for 28 years and our children grew up in Zurich but spend ski holidays here in Wengen. They were ski racers and visit us as much as they can! I (Liz) run ski races for schools and also a corporate event each year here in Wengen

Why Liz & Michael Moore chose Eiger, Mönch & Jungfrau

Chalet Traumli is an old chalet but with modern and cosy interioirs. We try to update the chalet each year

What makes this apartment unique

It is a ski in ski out chalet and a 3 minute walk into the village.

Chalet Traumli

  • 5 of 5

We have rented Chalet Traumli on several occasions and have mixed feelings about writing this review as we would prefer to see it kept a secret!! Anyway, it is the most gorgeous chalet in a superb location and Wengen of course is heavenly. Traumli offers wonderful views of the mountains, easy access to and off the slopes. The clalet is beautifully decorated and staying there is like a home from home. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

The Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

Chalet Traumli really does define the concept of having a home away from home. I have been there on more than one occasion (in both winter and summer) and can honestly say that it has ticked all the boxes for me. So if you're looking for...

The perfect location - a matter of minutes from the station and slopes

A warm and friendly atmosphere - Liz and Michael are one in a million

Great skiing - your skiing under the Eiger, if that isn't great I don't know what is

A relaxed environment with all the trimmings - boot room, great accommodation, and lovely warm showers!

...then this is the place for you!

Skiing wise there are runs for all abilities, including the famous world cup downhill ski race called the Lauberhorn. And if skiing is not your thing then the stunning views, food, and Europe's highest train station, will keep you entertained.

I promise your fall in love with this place.
