An authentic traditional country house on the outskirts of Fornalutx, and a short drive from Soller centre. The finca is located between Soller and Fornalutx, in a lush olive groves area. It's quiet and very private. Birds and sheep live in the property.
The property consist of 2 bedrooms, bathroom, outdoor toilette, fully equipped kitchen with dining area and living room, a/c in both bedrooms and free wifi.

There is a porch with a fantastic al fresco dining area and a second kitchen, and different terraces with stunning mountain views. There is a large swimming pool, umbrellas and sun loungers. Private parking and children playground.

A tale of two parts

The outside areas of the villa including the garden and pool were wonderful, but the toilet was like something out of the 18th century, the beds were very small and the air conditioning never worked in one of the bedrooms and was intermittent in the other. Also, the less said about the efficiency of the property manager, the better.

Wonderful place!

This is the third time we’ve stayed at S’Olivar Major and it was a wonderful as always. The house is a 5 minute walk into Fornalutx but on the very edge of the village so quiet and peaceful and not overlooked at all. It’s surrounded by the most beautiful gardens with 5 or 6 different places to sit. The pool is large and kept very clean with the maintainence person coming twice a week. The views are stunning, mountains all around and Soller below. We saw hoopoe birds and eagles soaring above us. The house itself is very well equipped and cool with air conditioning in both bedrooms. There are plenty of towels including pool towels and a useful laundry area. Everyone at Mallorca Born is helpful and friendly and Mats was on the end of the phone if we needed anything. We feel we’ve found the perfect place and hope to return again very soon. Thank you!!

Fornalutx - July 2021

We had a wonderful 11 days here, enjoying the fantastic outdoor facilities at the villa and the spectacular views up and down the valley. In truth, the living accommodation was a little small for our family, though we were originally due to stay in July 2020 but couldn’t due to COVID and our boys grew a lot in the intervening 12 months, so certainly not a criticism. It’s an easy flat sub 10 minute walk to the centre of Fornalutx where there are several cafes, restaurants and a couple of well stocked small shops. For ease we hired a car during our stay, though there is a regular bus service down to Sóller and Port Sóller for those uncomfortable driving. Margarita (property owner) and Biel (property manager) were very accommodating and responsive to any requests. Highly recommended.

Love this house. Had some problems with the drains, but it was solved quickly! The only thing missing was extra sheets for the beds.

Views to die for!

What a stunning place this is. Truly a very special place with views to die for. We loved our stay and felt that whatever other places we visited, there was no view that could better what we had at the villa. Very well equipped with everything you could need, the accommodation itself was only lacking from more storage for clothes etc. One wardrobe was not quite enough for all our clothes as we were 4 adults and 2 children. But this was a minor point which is completely outweighed by the amazing outside space. Overall it was a great place to stay and many thanks to the agents/owners for great communication and a smooth process. Kind regards.
