About the Owner
About Mark & Helen Meopham
Hi, We are Mark - a retired Police Officer and Helen- a retired Optometrist .
We purchased Avon View in August 2012.
Avon View will be first and foremost our family home.
We purchased the house because of its stunning Riverside location.
It will also allow us to keep our Narrowboat at the bottom of the Garden.
We have been living aboard our Narrowboat whilst house hunting until we found Avon View.
We have recently purchased brand new furnishings for the whole house and as it will be our home it is a high level of quality and comfort, more than you would expect from a normal rental property. We hope the pictures give you some idea of what a beautiful spot this is . When you rent Avon View we will be there to greet you and answer any questions you may have, then we jump aboard our Narrowboat and cruise down the river leaving you to enjoy your time at Avon View and we are just a phone call away if you need us.
We look forward to being able to help plan your trip.

Great property on the River Avon
It is very obvious that ‘Avonview’ is somebody’s ‘home’ – it provided everything we needed and we much appreciated the ‘cosy’ feel.
The garden with views over the River Avon and across to the parkland opposite provided ‘entertainment’ with runners, dog walkers, rowers and the occasional pleasure boat. It is also really pleasant to be able to walk into Evesham and we found it to be a good base from which to visit the Cotswold villages and attractions.
We actually booked Avonview for a fishing/relaxing based holiday but we found daytime fishing ‘non-productive’ so gave up, but when we fished between 6pm and 10pm it was more rewarding.
We would certainly recommend this holiday home to others.

See previous reviews. We'll be back!
I think this was our third year in Avonview, we'll be back. Can't really say more than that! :)
Best holiday accommodation we have stayed at
We have just returned from our first stay at Avonview and we must say this was the best accommodation we have ever stayed at.
Everything you could possibly need was available and in fact we felt it was like home from home.
We met Mark & Helen and found them to be a very nice couple and were very welcoming.
Evesham town centre is within walking distance and has a very nice selection of shops and supermarkets are a few minutes drive.
We was so impressed that we will be booking for 2 weeks next year.
Best regards to Mark & Helen

Quality riverside accomodation in Evesham
The owners Mark and Helen were very understanding when we had to cancel our booking at short notice last year so it was lovely to meet them when we arrived. Avonview is very comfortable and well equiped and a perfect base for exploring the Cotswolds and several surrounding counties.
Even when the weather is not great the views of the river and the park can be enjoyed from the sitting room and there is always something interesting to watch from the anglers, rowers, narrowboats and birdlifeonthe river to the dog walkers and joggers in the park.
We enjoyed our stay hugely and would recommend Avonview to anyone and hope to be back ourselves in the future.
Wonderful house, great location, very clean with all amenities.
We had a wonderful week at Avon View. The house was amazing with views over the river, very clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. The location was great for travelling around the Cotswolds and further. We even made a trip to Bath for the day, which was delightful. There are a number of restuarants within walkng distance or a short taxi ride. I would recommend Avon View, whether you are just chilling or up for walking and scouting about.
