Guestbook comments from the owner

We feel privileged to have been able to stay in your beautiful cottage. It's a hidden gem and so thoughtfully furnished. We have everything we could have wished for! This is our first visit to Tenby and we've totally fallen in love with it and Chattaway House. The sun has shone all week, we've been so lucky! Have loved being so central to all the wonderful shops, bars and restaurants and enjoyed returning to the sanctuary of the cottage. Our favourite place to eat has been Normandie, favourite pub Hope and Anchor and early morning coffee at Café Vista. We've made some wonderful memories here and will certainly be back soon!

Lovely cottage, can't wait to return

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at Chattaway House and really liked the property. We were very grateful for the pint of milk left in the fridge by Bex & Dave (& also enjoyed the bottle of wine!). The cottage had everything we needed - comfy bed, lovely bathroom with clean towels (complimentary toiletries were a nice touch), and really comfortable living area upstairs. There was lots of information provided about the area and local bars and restaurants and the location is perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will hopefully return in the not too distant future.

Secluded, cosy, ideal for non- car owners.

Clean, secluded, cosy. 1 street back from beach. 5 mins walk from everything we wanted. Delightful small, historic, seaside town. Perfect.

Great accommodation in the centre of Tenby

  • 4 of 5

A lovely place to stay. Great access to shops and all the amenities. Parking only 4mins away. Some noise from chiming church bells and street but location makes up for it. As mentioned in other reviews wifi can be intermittent.

Owners friendly and provided treats for arrival. Super break.

Lovely little hideaway

  • 5 of 5

What a little gem of a cottage! My husband and I usually stay in quite secluded places miles from anywhere, this was the first time we were in the centre of things. Having said that, the cottage was tucked away backing on to the churchyard, so it felt hidden but with everything within reach once out of the door to the private alley. Instead of having to do a big shop, we could just nip out for a meal or pick stuff up from one of the many shops.

The cottage is very well equipped with all you need, and thank you Dave and Beccie for the welcome pack.

Tenby is such a lovely town and the area is outstandingly beautiful, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Chattaway House as a base for exploring.

A BEAUTIFUL COTTAGE IN A CENTRAL BUT QUIET POSITION

  • 5 of 5

We had a lovely holiday in this very well equipped cottage. The kitchen and bathroom were very luxurious and the bedroom and lounge area were very comfortable.

Bex and Dave were very welcoming and very kindly left us wine and milk on our arrival. We would definitely stay there again on our visits to Tenby.

Beautiful Cottage in an ideal location in Tenby

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautifully furnished & well equipped cottage. It is decorated to a high standard with great kitchen/bathroom & comfy bed.

It is ideally located right inside the town walls. There are numerous places to eat & drink to be found right on your doorstep. We parked our car up in the nearby allocated parking bay (in Sainsbury's long stay car park) and didn't use if for the duration of our stay. Nice touches of many extras being given by the owners. ie milk, wine, toiletries, even down to dishwasher tablets, on our arrival.

The owners have thought of everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

The only slight downside was an intermittent wifi connection, but that may be down to the thickness of the walls in this refurbished old cottage?

Nevertheless we would highly recommend this holiday cottage & will definitely be returning.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your lovely review. We are sorry that you experienced an intermittent Wi Fi signal. We have tried to address this matter buy buying a Wi Fi extender. We hope that this will help with the problem. Tenby council are also rolling out free Wi Fi hotspots so hopefully Chattaway House will be included in one of these locations. Thank you for your visit and we do hope to see you again. Bex and Dave

NEW RENOVATION JUST FINISHED!

Chattaway House within the historic walled town of Tenby is the only original Medieval house left nestled in St Mary’s Church grounds and is a perfect hide away. Walk out of the front door through the court yard and down a small drang (short alley way) and you are in the heart of Tenby with great access to shops and restaurants and within 2 minutes walk to any one of the beaches. There are three fabulous blue flag beaches and boat trips are available from the harbour around the clear waters offering great opportunities to spot dolphins, seals and the other abundant wildlife or take a trip to Caldey Island to see the Cistercian monks and sample the home made chocolate.

Walk along Tenby's South Beach toward Giltar Point and join the 186 mile Pembrokeshire Coastal Path for fantastic views of Caldey Island and discover some of Pembrokeshire’s many hidden coves. Walk the narrow cobbled streets of the old town lined with elegant Georgian properties or sit in one of the many cafes which offer alfresco dinning during peak season and people-watch visitors to the many gift shops, restaurants and public houses.

Chattaway House is also perfectly located for offering easy access to Pembrokeshire’s many visitors’ attractions such as Tenby golf courses, Oakwood and Heatherton theme parks, Anna’s Welsh Zoo and many more, or visit one of Pembrokeshire’s castles, Pembroke, Manorbier and Carew castles are all within a 15 min drive.

Tenby can also offer plenty to do for the more active holidaymakers with yachting, sea kayaking, windsurfing, and surfing and for the more extreme sporting enthusiasts’ coasteering (jumping off the cliffs into the clear blue seas!).

Whether you’re looking for a relaxing holiday, romantic escape, or an active fun filled holiday, Tenby can offer it all and Chattaway House is the perfect base.
