The largest 2 bedroom apartment on this small secure complex with pool and tennis court is an easy 10 minute stroll from the bay and all amenities. The property boasts a massive 120 sqm of sun terraces and balconies which capture the sun all day whilst offering panoramic views and provides ideal space for sunbathing and relaxation. It has sun loungers, large table with seating for 6, and a BBQ making it perfect for al fresco dining. This modern property is fully air conditioned and has been personally finished to an extremely high standard.

The main living/dining are has two sofa beds suitable for children only, along with table and chairs for 6 people. It is equipped with a 43 inch Ultra HD flat screen TV. Cable TV for Portuguese channels and an Expat vision box for British channels. A Phillips soundbar with Bluetooth compatibility as well as a Blue Ray player. Free unlimited Wi-Fi. Fantastic apartment in Sao Martinho do Porto

Just arrived home from a 2 week stay in this lovely apartment and thoroughly enjoyed a very relaxed stay whilst chilling out in the apartment and it's huge terrace area.

The apartment was great and exactly as described with spacious rooms, very nicely furnished, clean and perfect for our group of 4. The terrace is huge and ideal for chilling out in private along with a great pool and the use of the tennis court down on ground level.

The location is just on the outskirts of SMDP with a very short 5 minute walk to get to the beach front and all the main shops and restaurants etc. Ideal distance to get to all parts of the town. SMDP is lovely and in our opinion an ideal size with enough going on to keep you busy but not too much going on or too many bars or clubs etc. If you are looking for a wild party night then SMDP isn't the right place but if you like chilling out with lovely local food and a glass of wine then SMDP is perfect. Personally we found our favourite restaurant was a place called O' Granada and it was ideal for having a few drinks and lunch along with being excellent for dinner and a nice variety on their menu. If you don't like seafood in SMDP then you can be slightly limited and O' Granada managed to give good alternative options as well as great seafood.

All round a great holiday and the organisation and communications from Dave & Caroline were excellent making the whole trip really simple and hassle free.

Fantastic

This is our second stay at this superb apartment and Loved everything about it. It was spotlessly clean, modern, very high spec and spacious. We especially loved the glorious roof terrace where you can relax and unwind. A big plus for this apartment is the fantastic meet and greet service by Anna that can be arranged with the owners. The information that is provided about the resort and surrounding area is plentiful and we feel that the owners of this apartment go the extra mile to ensure their guests have a wonderful holiday. We would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone who are looking for five star accommodation in a laid back, friendly resort.

So Relaxing

This was our second visit to this Apartment and it didn't disappoint. Spacious , comfortable, with everything you need to hand. Quiet Apartment and area. Not a place for busy nightlife, perfect for relaxing and walking. Locals are friendly and local produce very cheap. Café's around the market where the locals go are particularly good value. I got 3 coffee's ,2 large cakes , one savoury speciality and a small glass of port for around 5euro.

The apartment is comfortable and affordable. We didn't use the pool or recreational areas but they would be great if you had children( buckets, spades , tennis rackets etc are all in the apartment for your use) the area is gated and secure so to feel very safe and could let children play without worrying.

In the event of rain( we didn't get any) there are games and plenty of video provided.

I would highly recommend a trip to Buddha Eden an enormous park with statues, including a reconstruction of the terracotta warriors and African art statue work. Not too easy to find but worth the effort.

Must not forget to mention the wonderful Ana who will meet you and help you with anything else you need.

Have had no problems with communication with the owners who replied promptly and return our deposit without delay both visits.

Great location, lovely apartment

Perfect location, just a short walk to the beach with plenty of restaurants etc. Spotlessly clean with all mod cons, felt like home from home. Air conditioning kept it comfortable. Great outdoor space to relax too. Would highly recommend and hope to return!

I would simply endorse all the other comments people who have already stayed here have made. The apartment is great, on the outskirts of a small seaside town that offers a superb large safe sandy beach that is perfect for families with young children.

Sao Martinho do Porto, a traditional fishing town, is on the Atlantic coast. The shell shaped bay is a natural sandy harbour, protected from the full force of the sea by surrounding coastal hills. As a result the water is extremely calm, and together with its fine white sand makes it perfect for families, and an ideal spot for windsurfing and sailing. Voted in the top 10 beaches of Portugal this once sleepy fishing village dating back to 1257 is now a favourite summer resort of the Portuguese.

A pleasant atmosphere can always be found in the wide range of cafes, bars and restaurants that offer a splendid variety of regional wines and foods.

The town has a local market which is open 6 days a week selling fresh bread, fish, fruit, meat and vegetables.

There is also a large Intermarche supermarket. Both are within an easy 10-15 mins walk.The town also has a Doctor, Dentist, Pharmacy, Bank and Post Office as well as other shops and a supermarket. Within easy reach of the busy capital Lisbon, the area is rich in history with plenty of reminders of Portugal's past.
