nNot holiday, but survival quizz. Property is not as described, not worth the money we paid for
Villa has a lovely view as advertised, but that is all good about it.
We have to note a number of points: The main and overriding problem that we are faced with was the lack of mosquito-nets on windows. The villa is infested with mosquitoes to some extent, even in the day-time. We need open windows to obtain fresh air, otherwise, it is stifling. As mosquitoes nets don't exist, it is not possible to open windows at night (we have an allergic reaction to mosquitoes as well). There are no air conditioners either (except living room) only fans which do not help with closed windows. Previous guests swatted mosquitoes - the walls demonstrate this!
We have stayed before by the Med without AC, - but without nets this means is too hot to sleep. So I have finished sleeping on the uncomfortable sofa in the living room.
Toilet in en-suite is not properly fixed to the floor and licking so it created big pool of water all over floor and we stopped using that bathroom.
The house was not very clean (floor, walls, patio area have traces of steps, somebody else cloth stuck in the sofa etc). Pool had lost a lot of tiles, and when you go in they sometimes stick to your feet and to give an unpleasant surprise, barbecue ash pan is corroded right away and parts missing so it can only be used by finding bits of rubble to prop the grill up with, the bed-head is not fixed to the wall and show dirty wall.
Blinds are far too old and seriously damaged so do not give security
There are many small and tiny pans no one which is big enough, no big frying pan.
There were cracked glass and a cracked bowl.
There are no ceiling lights except one corroded in the living room and some lights bulbs are missing in bedroom and kitchen which is the only source of light - so house is dark.
We sent emails to owner on the 2nd or 3rd day listing our problems, but he only can say that due to covid he was not able to give attention to his villa so we should understand it.
He sent us cleaners with clean towels and bedding(which was not what required) and 3 days before we left somebody came to sort light bulbs, and to fix some electric problems and give us pan.
Owner didn't try to resolve problems, but instead keep sending strangers to the house to work and it is not what was required by us due to covid situation and not our idea of holiday.
Overall everything looks very tired and too old at villa, which could be not too bad if not other issues we had mentioned
