A superb 2 bedroom apartment, only a 3 minute walk down to the sandy beach.

Beautiful Bay Retreat is in a prime location with some sea views. There is also a wonderful communal terrace with amazing panoramic sea views across to St Ives Bay and beyond. It creates the perfect place for couples and families wishing to relax and enjoy a luxury self catering holiday any time of year.

Internally the apartment is bright & beautifully presented. The central hallway has doors leading off to an open plan living area which includes a fully equipped kitchen, dining area and cosy lounge which has a luxurious feel. A main bathroom with bath, shower, WC, hand basin and heated towel rail. A beautiful master bedroom and second bedroom with twin beds.

Externally there is a wonderfully spacious, communal terrace with commanding sea & coastal views. Perfect for relaxing with a good book or watching the sun set. There is also the added benefit of an allocated car parking space.

Bay Retreat is a premium self catering holiday home making it a brilliant base for exploring the many wonderful attractions that Cornwall has to offer.

Local Facilities: The nearest supermarket is a Tesco which is less than a 5 minute drive off the main A3074 road in to St Ives. There are also banks, hairdressers, a chemist, a post office newsagents and general stores all a short walk away. During the day when on the beach there is a cafe, shop and food outlet.

Attractions: A great location for couples and smaller families. Carbis Bay really does give you the best of both worlds. The peace and quiet of Compass Point yet only a short distance away from the vibrant town of St Ives.

Further a field Penzance, St Michael's Mount, Lands End, beautiful Sennen Cove (surfing), Padstow (cooking courses with Rick Stein), Port Isaac (filming of TV show Doc Martin), Newquay (indoor Water World), & St Austell (Eden Project) are all within easy reach either by Car or Train.

Other Activities: Live theatre, cinema, Tate Gallery, museums, bars, restaurants, clubs, and shopping.

Very enjoyable stay at Compass Point apartment in Carbis Bay Cornwall

A very clean, compact but comfortable, well maintained apartment. Kitted out with just about everything you would require for your stay.

Comfortable bed.

Very close to the St Ives to St Earth railway, with the Carbis Bay train station approximately 3 minutes walk away.

Bit of an uphill trek to Tesco's if you don't have transport, of approximately 25 - 30 minutes, but doable if you are fairly fit and mobile.

I would recommend it and would stay again.

My only complaint is that check out time is 9 am at the latest, which I did not know till closer to the time of my visit. Mean't I had miscalculated with my train bookings and flights.

Lovely clean apartment with everything you might need within walking distance of the beach and handy for the Carbis Bay train station to St. Ives.

Lucy was only a phone call away if anything required.

Only downside if you need to receive important calls or e-mail were the very poor mobile phone signal in the flat and very poor internet at all times of the day.

With regard to your concerns with the wifi I have looked into this and have taken my computer to the apartment and checked the internet and all was well. No other guest has ever had an issue with this in 5 years of holiday letting the service provider is BT.

Clean, quiet, ideal location

Loved this apartment for the week, it's got everything you need and close to the beach and train which takes 2minutes to get into St Ives. The hill down to the beach is steep but we needed some exercise after eating in the great restaurant on the beach.

Lovely property in a perfect location

I stayed in this apartment with my mum. The apartment was perfect for our needs - good size with open plan living area. The property was very clean and well looked after. The host provided everything we needed including dish washer tablets, soap etc.

There is also a communal terrace few steps away from the front door. The view from the terrace is truly beautiful .

The location of property is really good - close to the beach (few min walk up/down the hill) and short drive to St Ives and other local attractions. Also it's near the train station which is very handy. You can take train to St Ives for £2 return instead of driving there; parking in St Ives can be a nightmare. Host provided train time table and information about local area. There is a big Tesco just few min drive from the apartment which came very handy.

Booking process was very easy and communication with the host was excellent. Deposit was return within 2days.

I would love to re visit St Ives and this property and would not hesitate to recommend it.

The holiday deposit is non refundable & is charged at 1/3rd of the full rate & is payable with personal cheque or direct bank transfer (for non UK guests bank transfer only). The balance is then payable no later than 8 weeks prior to your holiday. Full rental cost is payable for bookings made less than 8 weeks prior.

We also can accept online payments but please note the terms are slightly different with a 50% non refundable deposit due straight away and then the remaining 50% is due again 8 weeks prior to your holiday start date. Full rental cost is payable for bookings made less than 8 weeks prior. There is also an additional fee added onto to the total price of your holiday.

Cancelled bookings will not receive a refund.
