The Rea family goes home to Ireland!

  • 5 of 5

An absolutely amazing experience for all of us. The house was perfect. Large, roomy, up to date and comfortable. Great local pubs within walking distance with terrific food and friendly people. The scenery is all you could ask for with stunning vistas, exciting mountain roads and history around every corner. We loved it! I highly recommend this destination point. We never met Miriam in person, but her responsiveness by email and phone was spot on. And, the photos of her family and obvious attention to detail in the house décor made us feel like we were welcomed to her world as if we were and extension of her family. Terrific! Thank you!

Large and open, yet inviting and cosy

  • 5 of 5

When we first arrived, we were amazed at how big the place was. The pictures do not do it justice. We enjoyed having two living spaces so that the adults could sit in one area and talk while the kids played games in the other area. The kitchen and laundry facilities made staying here for a week feel like we were right at home. Miriam was so helpful with all the information she provided of activities in the area.

Simply stunning

  • 5 of 5

We booked this house last minute as we fancied getting away from it all for mid term. We were simply dumb struck when we arrived. The house is stunningly designed and furnished. The architecture is amazing but the house has a cosy, homely feel thanks to all the little touches throughout the rooms. There are references to love and family throughout and the house is transformed into a very cosy space despite its vast size.

Nothing has been omitted and the comfort is fantastic. We loved the views of mount Brandon and lough gill while relaxing with the turf fire. The proximity of the village was a real plus also. What better start to an evening than a creamy pint of Guinness in Boland's bar before a 1 minute stroll back to the house. Miriam is a very welcoming host and when she told me "the house has everything" she really meant it. Wet suits, bikes, kids games the list is endless. We are definitely going back!

Fantastic home, fantastic holiday!

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a wonderful stay in Miriam's house. The location was perfect - we had older family members who enjoyed chatting with the locals in the several charming pubs in town and a number of very athletic people who managed to climb Mt. Brandon, body surf, bicycle and run in a local 10 K race on the beach!

The house was more beautiful than the pictures show. We were all very comfortable in our our rooms and we enjoyed cooking meals together in Miriam's gorgeous and well-equipped kitchen and eating in front of the beautiful view. Miriam greeted us with great warmth on our arrival and encouraged us to use the bikes, boards, wetsuits, etc. It was clear that she truly wanted us to enjoy the house and the beautiful surroundings.

We hope to return in the near future!!!
