On the East Bank of Loch Lomond, in the beautiful Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park lies Dubh Loch Cottage. A truly unique, traditional Scottish cottage built in the 1750's and fully refurbished and upgraded to an exceptionally high standard by it's present owners (Scottish Tourist Board 4 star). Dubh Loch sits in an enviable position with magnificent views from every window in an acre of private gardens and woodland, complete with it's own stream running through it. 3 bedrooms (1 king with full en-suite bath and shower downstairs, 1 double and 1 twin upstairs) to accommodate 6 people. 2nd full bathroom with free standing bath and separate shower. Sitting room/ dining room featuring original wooden beams and wood burning stove, 2nd sitting room, fully fitted kitchen (double oven, gas hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, tumble dryer). Solid oak floors, full gas central heating and double glazing, satellite TV, DVD, HI-FI. Free satellite internet/WIFI. All linen/towels/logs/fuel provided. Pets by arrangement.

Loch Lomond is one of Scotland's premier attractions offering peace, tranquility and the perfect escape at any time of year, yet within easy reach of Scotland's major cities (Glasgow 25 miles, Edinburgh 70 miles) and Stirling 35 miles. Enjoy watersports on Loch Lomond or stroll along it's unspoilt bays and beaches (Sallochy, one of the most beautiful bays is only a 5 minute walk from the cottage). Walk the famous West Highland Way which passes right around the Dubh Loch, climb Ben Lomond (3 miles away) or enjoy some spectacular cycling scenery. Nearby pubs and restaurants offer local produce and a welcome tipple. Close to some of Scotland's top golf courses.

Very picturesque.

Lovely well-equipped cottage. Beautiful location. Beds very comfortable. Lots to do in the area. We took a boat cruise over to Luss and really enjoyed it. The pub, restaurant in Balmaha terrific. Very comfortable. We had a wonderful family reunion there and will always remember it well.

A warm and cosy cottage in a wonderful location

We had an excellent family stay in Dubh Loch Cottage. Despite the wet weather (to be expected in November) we all had a great time. The cottage is very well set up and beautifully decorated and furnished. It was great sitting in beside the stove with a glass of wine and having the chat, whilst the rain lashed the windows. Lovely walks around the Loch and a great place to eat in Balmaha. Will be back for more sometime soon.

Lovely Cottage-- Beautiful Location

We had such a nice stay at Dubh Loch cottage. It was our first visit to Loch Lomond and we were traveling with our two toddlers. The cottage is in a beautiful setting with so much to explore in the vicinity. It is definitely located on the quiet side of the loch, so perfect if you are looking to really get off the beaten track. The cottage itself was clean and spacious, the layout was conducive to putting the kids to sleep and staying up to eat, watch movies and enjoy the rest of the space. Would definitely recommend to other young families looking to get away from it all!

Magical cottage in a spectacular setting!

Our family of five settled in right away. This is an outstanding property in a spectacular location. We loved wrapping up in the cozy blankets to read or do puzzles in the evening. We were close to many sites for easy exploration - Glasgow, Stirling, Dumbarton, not to mention Loch Lomond and all the hiking trails. It was the best vacation ever - truly magical. We can't wait to come back!

The antidote to a busy life

Our fourth time in this perfect cottage and location, and we are a family who never return to the same place! The air, the mountains, the countryside will slow you down, soothe your worries and let you relax. The cottage will make you feel warm, comfortable and secure. There have been times when I and the family needed this escape more than we imagined, and Dubh Loch cottage was there to take us back to what lies at the heart of family life; time to talk, eat and laugh. Time genuinely goes slower here. Fact!

Always clean, warm and well maintained, with added attractions such as the stream and plunge pool, the summer house to see the thousand stars at night and a log burning stove to make the evenings go well. Great walks, cycling and places to eat. Scotland at its best.
