Mas Provençal de charme, a luxury 6 bedroom villa with private pool

Mas de la rose is a typical mas Provençal, a very luxurious 6 bedroom villa with private pool and wonderful 2,5 acres Mediterranean garden (roses,lavender, cypress, olive and fruit trees) located 1 km from the medieval village of Le Thor, between Avignon and Luberon, 5 km from Isle sur la Sorgue.

This stunning property has been totally renovated and decorated by a famous interior decorator. It has been featured in many interior decoration magazines: Italian ELLE DECOR, Italian AD, Italian VILLEGIARDINI, French COTE' SUD.

LE MAS DE LA ROSE is an old farmhouse dating from 1860 with a typical rectangular plan with two ancient plane trees shading the front terrace and the antique well on the south side. The garden is approx mq 12000. The entrance alley to the gate is lined with lavender, olive trees and fruit trees. There is a small orchard which gives fresh tomatoes, zucchini, eggplants, peppers, basil and all aromatic herbs. Through an imposing gate you enter in the inner garden, a more formal garden with four parterres of flowers and box hedges all around them, this is the south side and the house is just behind you with the two huge plane trees providing pleasant shadow summertime, for lovely al fresco dinner. Beside there is the romantic roses walk and the swimming pool mt. 5.5 x 11, with a small pool house. The third area of the garden is a big flat meadow with a fountain in the middle which is a wonderful play area for children and grown ups. In the garden there are several spots to sit, relax or eat - along the front or side terraces, or under the plane trees.

The house inside has been lovingly restored and decorated by the owner , who is by profession both antique dealer and interior designer. There is a wonderful atmosphere and whatever you need to spend an unforgettable holiday. The house is filled with the enchanting light of Provence, it is a very relaxing house to have a wonderful stay.

DOWNSTAIRS:

There is the living room, piano room/library and a vast kitchen with dining table. The magnificent, light-filled Provençal kitchen is the centre of the house, it combines antiques charm with modern convenience. Next to the kitchen there is the laundry room and guest bathroom.

Downstairs you also find the spacious VERANDA BEDROOM with a double bed ( bed cm 135 x 200) with an en suite bathroom with shower. This room opens onto the front terrace through three gorgeous patio doors.

FIRST FLOOR:

On the south east corner there is the YELLOW BEDROOM with a large double bed (bed cm 160 X 200) plus one child bed

Pink Bathroom with Tub

The BLUE BEDROOM with two twin single beds and extra sofa bed

On the north side there is the CREAM BEDROOM with a double bed ( bed cm 135 x 200)

Blue bathroom with shower

The RED BEDROOM has large single bed ( bed cm 120 x200)

The MASTER SUITE has a extra large double bed ( cm 210 x 200) and bathroom en suite with tub.

On the ground in a separate house lives the caretaker and gardener.

Charming inside and out ,

Beautiful , peaceful Mas in very rural setting but 5 minutes from a super market. The garden and terraces full of roses under the shade of two huge plane trees, plenty of sun by the pool. And a wonderfully provincial interior, full of treasures and charm. A very kind helpful gardener near who lived next door and two charming cleaners, nothing was too much trouble.

An Artists Paradise

A lovely peaceful charmingly shabby chic old Mas. The house is full of beautiful traditional antique furnituture, giving this beautiful home a wonderful atmosphere. We were two artists plus our husbands, and for an artist it was pure heaven, glorious garden, full of light and shade,, wonderful terraces and spots to sit outside and enjoy the feeling of peace and quiet. The lovely people helping in the house and garden could not have been more helpful. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone who appreciates traditional old French style, tucked away far from the busy world, in a peaceful garden.
