Excellent Villa in a lovely town
The villa was a really great, central place to stay, for two weeks, while we visited nearby tourist areas.
The villa is really comfortable and well equipped. The weather was very warm and the villa was supplied with additional fans. We ate, every night, in the outside area between the kitchen and the upstairs bedrooms. The photographs do not show this area in its best light as it has been upgraded to have a substantial wooden roof.
The garden is beautiful. The gated pool and surrounding area is perfect. The pool is kept very clean with a pool vacuum. The vacuum is actually a bit of fun when lazing around. Every so often the "tail" flicks out and sprays water in various directions. Very cooling in the hot weather!
The streets in Aubais are very narrow. This was initially quite daunting. However, once you drive in and out of the villa a couple of times you find the best routes for you. All the amenities of Aubais are a short walk. The patisserie was a daily visit and supplied fresh bread and delicious fresh pastries (which was our treat with a coffee each afternoon beside the pool). In the town there is a really nice restaurant, a pizza place, an ATM, a pharmacy and a park or two with kids play areas. The nearest large supermarket was about 15 minutes by car.
There were a couple of times we needed some some help from Cathy, the villa manageress. She was really friendly and only too happy to help.
