About the property

4 bedroom detached modern villa with garage

The Villa:

The villa takes advantage of the surroundings by having the living area on the upper floor overlooking the beach towards Culzean Castle and the Firth of Clyde. The bright, spacious lounge has full-length picture windows with French doors opening onto a balcony area, a superb spot for breakfast or to enjoy the evening view. To the back of the living area is a log burning stove, ideal for relaxing at night. Adjoining the living area is a modern Alno fitted kitchen with dining area seating for eight and breakfast bar.

Ground Floor:

The main entrance is on the ground floor opening onto the hall with access to all bedrooms and toilets. The ground floor has a master bedroom with en-suite and shower and French doors leading to the enclosed and private back garden. Additionally there is a double room and two twin rooms. Any room could accommodate a travel cot, provided as required. The bathroom has a power shower fitted over the bath.


Whether you plan to just relax and enjoy the views and mild climate of South West Scotland or be invigorated with the many activities available this location is perfect.


Golf - With Turnberry golf course less than a mile away the obvious choice is to sample the Ailsa Course famous for hosting some unforgettable British Open Championships.

For variety sample some of the other West Coast Links golf courses a short drive north of the village.

Cycling – this area has some of the most scenic and traffic free cycling roads in Scotland. With the owner of the villa an enthusiastic and experienced cyclist there will be provision of descriptive cycle routes to suit any level of cyclist. If you prefer off road cycling the local forests offers many challenging routes.

Walking - Maidens is situated near the centre of the Ayrshire Coastal Path, ideal to explore the 100 mile route in either direction. There are also fabulous walks in the Culzean Estate a short walk from the end of Maidens Beach. Turnberry beach is a beautiful walk along to the lighthouse which is best experienced during some of Scotlands west coast most spectacular sunsets.

Water sports - The harbour village of Maidens has an easily accessible beach for windsurfing, kayak, snorkelling and fishing. Boats can be launched from the harbour slipway.

Horse Riding - A short walk from the villa are Shanter horse riding stables where you can book accompanied horse rides along the beach.

Fishing - There are many rivers in the surrounding area suitable for fishing.


Culzean Castle and Gardens Estate. (2 miles) Whether you want to explore the Castle, walk in the extensive gardens or find the caves in the rocky shore this National Trust property is well worth a visit.

Turnberry Spa – (1 mile) Enjoy a spa day out at the resort.

Pebbles Spa Bennane Shore – (14 miles) The backdrop of the sea coming and going, the rocks and seaweed tangled over the pebbles.

The Whisky Experience in nearby Kirkoswald (2 miles) - For a whisky tasting session or to purchase from a selection of classic and vintage whiskies.

Heads of Ayr Farm Park - (10 miles) for a fun family day out.

The historic birthplace of Robert Burns - (15 miles) Burns Cottage, Burns Museum, gardens and the Brig ‘o’ Doon is only 14 miles north in the picturesque village of Alloway.

Ailsa Craig – trips to this isolated volcanic island from Girvan (7miles).

Isle of Arran - Ferry from Ardrossan (20 miles). Round the island bus trip or a day at the National Trust property of Brodick Castle.

Excellent accomodation & stunning view

Accomodation was superb, everything as described. Booked for a special occcasion. Views from balcony are superb and local wildings restaurant serves great food. A great place to stay if golfing at Turnberry or visiting South Ayrshire.

Golfing Break with the boys

The villa is absolutely gorgeous, with fantastic views, ideal location for walkers, golfers and people seeking a relaxing break. Would recommend to friends and family alike and will be sure to come back. The owners also make the rental a dream as they are more than happy to help with any queries you may have. Fantastic villa, more than lived up to expectations. Villa is very bright, spacious & modern. Kids loved the play station & great choice of movies, games, books & toys to play with! Great location & spotlessly clean. Didn't want to leave & would highly recommend to all. Lots of very helpful info also provided by the owner.

Lovely Family Spring Week Break

Well equipped , high quality, modern accommodation in great location. Spacious and immaculately clean.Plenty to do within easy walking or driving distance & would particularly recommend Culzean castle, Galloway forest and beautiful Arran. Owner could not have been more friendly and helpful in helping plan our holiday and making it as memorable as possible. Would highly recommend and we hope to return.

This modern, detached four bedroom villa is situated in the village of Maidens by Turnberry, less than a mile from the clubhouse of the world famous Turnberry Golf Course and Spa. Its superb elevated position with first floor balcony provides spectacular views over the Firth of Clyde to the Isle of Arran and Mull of Kintyre.

A pleasant, enclosed garden to the rear is accessible from the side gate or master bedroom. The driveway has parking for up to three cars while the garage is available on request and provides valuable storage space for bikes, windsurfing, kayaks or golfing equipment.

The long, sheltered sandy beach is on the Ayrshire Coastal Path making it the ideal location to explore the beautiful South Ayrshire Coast. The village is home to the fabulous Wildings family-run restaurant which overlooks the harbour.
