A converniently located quaint apartment with a panoramic view, but not for a senior citizen
The apartment is located very close to a bustling and attractive plaza surrunded by cathedrals, restaurants, cafes and shops, but you need to walk up a long and steep slope to reach this apartment, which will be very hard for senior people (like us) because of the high altitude of the location. This accomodation was spacious and well equipped with enough linens and towles, with welcoming fresh flowers in vases. Our room did not have a washer-drier, but some landry service businesses were in the walking distance. We thought the shower and the toilet were sub-standard and needed a substantial updating to be comfortable. We noticed corking in the kitchen and showeroom was flaking. This said, overall, this accomodation will be enjoyable, if you are young, to experience a typical Peruvian abode on a hill-top with a beautiful view.

Amazing views and great location
I would highly recommend this apartment. It’s close to La Plaza de Armas but far enough away that you don’t hear all the clubs and city noise at night. Super comfy bed and large living room space. The apartment has amazing views and is quite large. I felt that we got a great deal for the price we paid.

Cozy apartment minutes away from Plaza de armas
First off, the property manager Armando is a world class host. He speaks great English and is very attentive and available. He helped us get a trip to Machu Picchu lined up 24hrs before we went. He was available for questions through WhatsApp 24/7. He made our stay great! The house itself is very close to Plaza de Armas (5 minute walk) and feels very safe. Great restaurants nearby too! I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone that wants to be close to historical sites, good food, and a safe atmosphere.

Incredible Apartment With Pride of Ownership - Centrally Located and Very Quaint!
This apartment is adorable. Nice, very clean kitchen, adequately supplied with the essentials. Clean bathroom with shower stall and sink, plenty of hot water! Living room adorable, with cable tv. Bedroom is wonderful, with a skylight and a view of Cusco that is breathtaking! Small room outside the bathroom and living room with a wardrobe and additional linen and mattress. This small room also has an incredible view of Cusco! The street is typically quiet and residential. The best part of this rental property, aside from everything I just mentioned, is the owner, Oda Seedhouse and her partner Armando. They are incredible hosts that go out of their way to accommodate even the smallest requests. They emulate hospitality in everything that they do. Oda responds to texts or messages within minutes and never leaves anything to the imagination. Always working to understand my needs, as one of her clients, is one of Oda's greatest qualities. In addition, Oda offers incredible value to her clients, in guided tours in and around Cusco, Machu Picchu, and all around Peru. She also does other international tours. Oda is a professional through and through, but she also possesses the unique quality of compassion and empathy, that is one of the components of hospitality that I most appreciate. In closing, I am grateful that I met and toured with Oda, during my stay in Cusco! She is very well connected in and around Cusco, Puno, Lake Titicaca, and well just about every part of Peru. If she doesn't know something, she knows someone who will know something about it! This can only come from decades of hard work in the field of tourism and hospitality, connecting with other professionals and creating a network of informed and caring professionals. I will definitely meet Oda and Armando again. Thank you both for an exceptional experience in Cusco!

Incredible place to stay in Cusco
Oda and Armando were great to work with and the their apartment was well located at the top of a hill above the main square called Plaza de Armas. The views from the apartment over the city of Cusco and the mountains can't be beat.

Host profile image
World citizen, traveller, linguist, anthropologist, licensed guide, tour operator, cat lover and Yoga teacher. I am from Germany and have lived in many countries, but Peru has already been my home for over 30 years. I live in Cusco where I run a tour operator (Vegetarian Peru Adventures) and work as a free-lance guide. I also own a Lodge (Andean Spirit Lodge) near Limatambo at 1 1/2 hour's drive from Cusco which is a great place to recharge one's batteries. In my free time I love to cook vegetarian delicacies and make jams, pickles and chutneys, enjoy the gardens at my guesthouse or curl up with one of my cats reading a good book. I feel happiest in nature and away from the crowds.

Why they chose this property

The apartment I am renting has been my former home. I have renovated it and put a great amount of care into creating a space that is modern and comfortable with all the creature comforts whilst preserving the rustic character of the building. When travelling I love staying in places with personality (I hate nothing more than soulless hotels) and naturally I have created a space which I would like to rent myself if I was a tourist in Cusco... The apartment has a very comfortable mattress with good quality bedsheets, a feather quilt and warm alpaca blankets, a nice newly built big bathroom with a shower plus an extra bathroom with a bath tub and washing machine, a fully equipped kitchen with a coffee maker and a covered patio with chairs where you might relax in the warmer hours of the day. I also provide you with a big radiator for the colder hours...

What makes this property unique

Situated in the heart of Cusco this place has great views of the center and the surrounding mountains. It has a genuine Inka wall in the main bathroom, too. The location is unbeatable, only 5 minutes or two blocks from the main square and the main area of the restaurants and shops. Saqsaywaman isn't that much further away, you can reach it in only 15 minutes on foot. Although Calle Suecia is now part of the pedestrian area you can reach the property by taxi as it is right at the corner with Don Bosco street where the Colegio de los Salesianos is located.
