Perfect for 2 people! The apartment is situated in the most photographed archway in Old Antibes and on small cobbled pedestrian street. It is tranquil, bright and picture perfectly French, lying between the Ancient Stone Sea Wall and the Provencal Market in Old Antibes. This is the oldest part of Antibes. The building originated in the 1200's and housed the clergy of the Cathedral. There are 3 abandoned tunnels below. One leading to the Cathedral, one to the sea and the third to a Monastery long since gone.

As you enter through the ancient timber door of the building and up to the second floor (not too many steps) the apartment is open plan and airy with many windows which is unusual in the old town.

The fully equipped kitchen has painted solid timber cupboards, oak benchtops and even a small dishwasher. There is also a large fridge, four burner hob and an oven. The washing machine is hidden away in a cupboard nearby. A pretty table and four chairs with overhead chandelier sits in the dining area beside the 3 sided fireplace.

Up three steps to the next level, seating is ideally placed at the large French window in the living room looking down on to the cobbled street below. This is a great place to have your morning coffee or sip a glass of wine and watch the world go by. Perhaps you will catch a glimpse of a bride and groom as they emerge from the 12th Century Antibes Cathedral at the end of the street. Up here you are actually sitting in the archway and a comfortable sofa, which can be converted to a double bed, two relaxing wicker armchairs, TV with some English Language Channels, I-Pod dock and DVD complete the living area.

Again up a few stairs is the most romantic bedroom in town, complete with dormer window views to the Cathedral Bell Tower. Don't worry! The bells are silent during the night when the town sleeps. The bedroom has a wardrobe for hanging clothes as well as a chest of draws. In the fully tiled bathroom there is a natural stone vanity, a heated towel rail and a free standing bath with shower overhead. A Perfect place for soaking after another stunning Riviera day.

Antibes is a bustling Market town hosting a daily fresh food Market each morning followed by Artists' stalls in the afternoon.There is an open air Market Tuesday and Thursday and Saturday Antiques and Bric a Brac.

Port Vauban is the town's vast Marina and home to hundreds of privately owned Yachts and Mega-Yachts both motor and sail - a great setting for an evening promenade!

Antibes is a ideal base for annual events such as:

Voiles D'Antibes Classic Yacht Regatta - June

Jazz a Juan Festival, Juan les Pins - July

Underground Parking is available at 'La Poste' or 'Pre aux Pecheurs', both 5 mins walk from the apartment. Both are underground carparks and cost approx €60/week.

Fab stay again!

This is the second time we've stayed in this apartment and it offers everything we need for our perfect holiday. It's location is minutes walk from the beach but far away enough from any noise to have the best of both worlds. The apartment décor is clean and fresh and has all the necessary 'bits and pieces' you'd need during your stay. It feels like a home while you are on hols - perfect!

Home away from home

Le Petit Arc, in the old town archway was my home away from home for three weeks this past May! My goal was to recharge my batteries and melt into the culture of France in Antibes. Anne Marie was most gracious and helpful from my first contact; he was there to greet me when I arrived and provided me with everything I needed, even a converter when the one I brought didn't work! The apartment was clean, beautifully appointed and well equipped. The bedroom was so cozy and the "sky window" was a beautiful addition. I loved listening to the cathedral bells and the birds singing in the morning. Even though I was mere metres away from the market and the night life of the old town, the apartment was very quiet and peaceful. Sometimes I would sit in my chair in front of the window over the archway, facing the cathedral, and wave at passerbys or watch wedding parties as they exited the church. The washer was a convenient appliance and drying my clothes was no problem using the air drying rack. The bathroom was a luxury treat and soaking in the tub after spending hours exploring the town and nearby destinations was a perfect was to relax. Ann Marie had everything covered, an umbrella, extra bath towels and beach towels and chairs as well as English books and games in the cupboards. There was some coffee, tea, sugar and milk to get me started as well as some basic cooking staples. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Le Petit Arc and appreciated Anne Marie's kindness. I would highly recommended this beautiful apartment to any couple or single person who want a beautiful getaway location. I plan on staying there again on my next trip to France! Merci Anne Marie!

A Perfect Home Base

Le Petit Arch was darling and its vicinity to everything was exactly what we were looking for. You're only steps away from Le Marche Provençal, a golden stretch of beach, the Picasso Musee, and a lively village with excellent eateries. The apartment was wonderfully quiet despite being so close to so much. The only downside is that the ceiling in the bedroom is low and you had to grow accustomed to watching your head upstairs. Otherwise, the apartment was well appointed with every convenience you'd need when traveling. Highly recommend this beautiful place....we are already anxious to come back!

Most romantic holiday at fantastic place

This was our second trip in Antibes and first in Le Petit Arc apartment. Apartment provides everything you need for romantic holiday. This place is perfectly furnished including practical things like beach chairs and towels. We loved Arc window for afternoon and evening drinks with French cheese and rose wine. Apartment is located in very old town centre; everything is close by, bars, restaurants, galleries, beach and port. Anne-Marie is great host and in her guest book you can find all practical and interesting information you need to know. Antibes is from our point of view the most beautiful place in French Riviera, not as posh as Cannes and not as overcrowded by tourists as Nice. Also these cities are beautiful, but Antibes has so special and unique atmosphere. We will come back :-)

  • The bedroom is located on the spacious mezanine overlooking the living room of the apartment. The velux roof window floods the room with light and displays a wonderful view of the Cathedral Bell Tower. The window can also be darkened for sleeping. The comfortable double bed has a memory foam mattress, four pillows and hotel quality linen. Both sides of the bed benifit from a bedside table and reading light. For clothes storage there is a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. There is a portable air conditioner for warmer weather.
