Situated in an inspiring and pretty locality of Torquay, just moments from the fine Regency Hesketh Crescent and the blue flagged Meadfoot Beach to Beach Mews provides the perfect family-friendly retreat! You can also enjoy the labyrinth of beautiful Ilsham woodland paths that lead to open picnic grassland of Ilsham Valley.

Allocated parking is conveniently provided for guests staying at this beautifully modernised character townhouse which provides bright and spacious accommodation with fine attention to details in its furnishings and presentation to ensure guests fully enjoy a home-from-home stay.

The front door entrance leads into a charming and beautifully furnished living room. Guests can fully relax in this stylish and sumptuous room, which is furnished with a pair of comfortable cream leather sofas situated under a pretty crystal chandelier with lovely contemporary lampshades to the room to provide ambiance in the evenings.

A large flat screen TV with DVD player, movie library and a Play Station 2, provides guests with modern day amusement also.

The pretty townhouse also benefits from a spacious fully fitted kitchen and a sunny garden view dining area complete with optional baby high-chair, can easily accommodate a family or group up to 6. Guests can easily enjoy the freedom of cooking delicious home-cooked meals during their stay if they wish with a gas hob, eye level oven, fitted microwave, tall fridge-freezer and dishwasher.

A charming sunny paved terrace courtyard garden provides a lovely sun trap in which to enjoy the glorious mild Torquay climate and an outdoor dining area with parasol provides the ideal spot for alfresco dining during your stay!

The sleeping accommodation is situated upstairs and features 2 bedrooms comprising of a spacious master bedroom fitted with a luxury en suite shower room, a luxurious king size bed with Vi-Spring mattress and a flat screen TV. The second bedroom is fitted in a pleasing nautical style and fitted with a pair of twin beds. A baby cot is also provided in the property for guest’s convenience.

Aside from the luxury en-suite to the master bedroom, a modern family bathroom is also provided and is fitted with a bath tub with shower head mixed, wash basin and WC. A cloakroom WC is conveniently situated to the ground floor of the property also.

A great house close to the beach

I'm sorry it has taken so long to write this review.

We stayed here for a week with our friends to celebrate New Year 2014.

Our friends arrived first, and were met by the owner. They were shown around the property, and said to contact him if we required anything.

The house is beautifully decorated, well maintained and very clean.

Our friends had the twin room which was rather small, but they used the family bathroom which was large. We had the large bedroom, which has a shower room on-suite, not large but fine for us. The lounge area is lovely and very comfortable.

There was plenty of information in the house about the local area, which we did find useful.

We enjoyed lots of walks from the house. Our first walk to Meadfoot beach took us all by surprise, it is probably 2 minutes from the house, and absolutely beautiful. There is a lovely walk into Torquay town from the beach, this takes you up and along the coast before descending in to town. We were recommended a pub by the owner, The Kent's which we tried once or twice or more. It took us about 25mins to walk which we didn't mind as we went via the beach. The atmosphere was very welcoming, we enjoyed a meal here, and a quiz night, didn't win.

Great breakfast and views, has to be The Cliff Railway Café, in Babbacombe.

We were out and about everyday, some evenings we were more than happy to stay in as the kitchen was so well equipped. On New Years Eve we stayed in with lots of great food and champagne from Mr Waitrose. At midnight we raised a glass of bubbly to the New Year, our neighbours, and the hotel across the road for supplying the fireworks :-)

Yes I would recommend this lovely house.

Thank you to the owners, a lot of thought has gone in to making this a home from home.
