Your own oasis in the heart of Gran Alacant! This beautiful 2 bedroomed ground floor apartment with private pool is less than one minute's walk away from a supermarket and several restaurants and less than 5 minutes walk from a larger selection of shops, bars, restaurants, bank and pharmacy. In addition free WiFi is available in the property!

Lovingly created by the owners the beautiful garden gives that perfect Mediterranean feel - complete with olive tree, lemon tree, hibiscus, cacti and bougainvillea as well as 2 large palms trees and is totally enclosed by high walls for your privacy.

The 6m x 2.5m pool has Roman steps and is surrounded by 4 sun-loungers and a small drinks table plus a large brick built BBQ - perfect for that evening al fresco meal! In addition there is a table and 4 chairs for your relaxation plus the garden features a solar shower!

The large porch is furnished with a large dining table and 4 chairs and plants as well as awnings on two sides for shade in the hot summer months, perfect for dinner as it is also lit at night!

Moving inside, the hallway containing an alarm system for your security and leads into the sunny lounge area which is furnished with two 2 seater leather sofas, coffee table, lamps and pictures. For your comfort there is a ceiling fan and for your entertainment there is a large flat screen television (with some UK terrestrial and Satellite channels) and DVD player as well as a Hi Fi/CD/Radio music system and a selection of CDs. The sunny dining area (which overlooks the pool) contains a stylish dining table and 4 chairs, standalone fan and pictures. The owners have also thoughtfully provided a cool-box for your use when going to the beach for the day.

The American style kitchen contains everything you would expect in a property of this standard, including oven, ceramic hob, microwave, washing machine, fridge freezer, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, juicer and sandwich maker as well as an excellent selection of crockery and utensils. It also has a separate outdoor utility area with an airer, iron and ironing board.

A hallway, complete with full length mirror and pictures, leads to the master bedroom which features twin beds, bedside cabinets, lamps, pictures, 5 drawer chest, mirror plus a double built in wardrobe with a further chest of 3 drawers inside. For your comfort is a large ceiling fan plus there is a safe for your valuables during your stay, and for younger travellers, there is a travel cot included in the price of your stay!

The second bedroom is also a twin and has bedside cabinet, lamp, pictures and both a ceiling fan and stand alone fan for your comfort in the summer months, plus a double built in wardrobe with 3 drawer chest and hanging shelves.

The bathroom is sunny and airy and contains a bath (with shower over), WC, hair-dryer, double vanity unit with his and hers basins, with mirrors above and a wall mounted electric heater.

In addition to the private pool within the garden, you also have access to the communal pool on the urbanisation (with separate children's pool) which is for residents only and is complete with garden area with palm trees and a seating area for shade - the lockable gate ensures access only to residents and guests.

And if this wasn't enough, an excellent selection of shops, bars and restaurants as well as banks and pharmacy are within walking distance and the beautiful sand-dunes beach is just a 2 minute drive or bus ride away - a perfect holiday property of an excellent standard!

The loveliest apartment we have ever stayed in

It's a home from home but better. We could not fault the property, the gardens are beautiful and very private- there was really no need to step outside your garden area. The pool was great and was very clean. Guy the key holder was very helpful and took us to the supermarket on arrival which was much appreciated. Nothing was too much trouble. You can tell that the owners have put a lot of thought and love into the property- it's fabulous! We love the area - the bus service and tourist train make getting around really easy and there are plenty of shops nearby and a good number of reasonably priced bars and restaurants. We can't wait to go back!

This apartment is absolutely superb. The owners have created an oasis of tranquillity where you can totally cut yourself off from the outside world. The apartment itself has everything that you need and is very comfortable but the jewel is the outside space - the verandah, garden and private pool. A gem!

Will definitely book again

The apartment was exactly as described on the website. There was obvious care taken in choices of decoration in the garden as well as in the accommodation. We really loved the pool although small was big enough to swim lengths and also deep in one end too. The garden was surrounded by a high white wall with two lovely palm trees which made it easy to spot when you are in a cab coming home after a night out. The bedrooms both have new air con and beds are comfortable. With the blinds down it is quite dark and can be hard to get up in the morning! There is a good size flat screen TV in the living room plus a radio /CD player. The kitchen is small but contains all you need including a washing machine. There is also a supermarket just over the road so easy to buy a few beers, bread etc. Plus there is a good Scandinavian restaurant next to the supermarket and various other restaurants near the apartment. The beach is a bit of a hike on foot coming back up a hill. There are good bus connections though and a road train which gets you down the hill for three euros. A taxi into Alicante will cost about 25 euros. We loved the place and our holiday.

What a gem!!

From the moment we stepped through the gate we were amazed by how clean, spacious and tranquil the villa and gardens were. There is a supermarket literally a stone's throw from the villa itself and bars/restaurants are just a short stroll away in the neighbouring complex. We caught the land train down to Carabassi beach one day, which again was a simple and short trip. We didn't hire a car but what with being only a 15 minute taxi ride from the airport and having all you need within walking distance, we didn't miss having one. You really can't go wrong with hiring this villa - it was perfect for our short stay (3 adults for 4 nights) and I wouldn't hesitate to book it again if returning to the area. The gardens and pool area were beautiful and so private. The villa itself has everything you might need and is more than spacious enough. There's plenty of seating in the gardens, as well as sunbeds and a lovely al fresco terrace for eating in the shade. I have to give special mention to Guy, the keyholder. He was super accommodating and really made us feel welcome. Our flight arrived at Alicante just after 10am and although check-in shouldn't have been until 3pm he was more than happy for us to head straight to the villa and drop off our bags while he carried on with cleaning after the previous guests had checked out that morning. We were also able to stay until lunchtime on departure day as our flight wasn't until 3.30pm. What a nice man - please pass on our thanks! So overall I would definitely recommend staying here and would say it was superb value for money!

Fantastic as always

Couldn't fault the holiday in any way. Thanks to the owners for another fantastic stay at their lovely apartment. Have lost count of the times that we have been back to this accommodation. The location is fantastic with a well stocked supermarket less than 1 minute walk away. There are also bars and restaurants within a 5 minute walk. We went to Dunbars which had been shut on previous years. The ribs were fantastic. Never had ribs with so much meat on them. Also had the set menu. Fab. Give it a try. See you again in September. Thanks also to Alicante Holiday Villas for all their helpfulness they have given us over the years. The booking process is always easy and straightforward and always promptly return our security deposit.

Gran Alacant, where all our holiday rental villas and apartments are situated, is a residential area and therefore perfect for families – just a few miles south of the vibrant and beautiful city of Alicante and just to the north of the traditional Spanish seaside town of Santa Pola. Nestling in the hills above Alicante Bay, there are stunning views across to the city and the castle of Santa Barbara and northwards to the Crevillente mountains.

The few miles distance to the airport make Gran Alacant a particularly good place to stay as you can be in your holiday rental accommodation in less than an hour from landing and, because Gran Alacant is not on the flight path, there is no aircraft noise.

Gran Alacant is a mixture of villas, townhouses and apartments on a number of different Urbanisations, all with access to either private or communal swimming pools. The area is cosmopolitan with an interesting mixture of nationalities – mainly Spanish, British and Scandinavian – yet has a typical Spanish feel. This mixture is reflected in the bars and restaurants in the area. Spanish run tapas bars, fish restaurants and pizzerias mix happily with British owned bars and restaurants.

Gran Alacant has plenty to offer those looking for a relaxing holiday and also those looking for something a bit more active. With easy access to Alicante city and the excellent motorway network, there is plenty to see and do in the surrounding areas. Less than 40 minutes by car is the exciting Terra Mitica theme park just outside Benidorm. Also for children at Benidorm is the superb water park Aqualandia which is next to Mundomar sea life centre

Gran Alacant has six good quality supermarkets and many within walking distance of our holiday rental properties. As you would expect, Gran Alacant also has pharmacies, banks (all with cash machines), panaderias (bakers), heladerias (ice cream parlours), a video/DVD rental shop, internet cafes, hairdressers, nail bar, petrol station and car/scooter rental agencies.

Night life in Gran Alacant is low key with the emphasis on good food and good wine with more than 80 bars and restaurants to choose from. From simple snacks to the various menu del dias as well as superb Indian, Italian, Japanese and Chinese food – every taste is well and truly catered for, and at good prices as well! Please see our restaurant page for full listings. Nearby Santa Pola has a good selection of restaurants from simple tapas bars to the highly recommended Batiste by the quayside. Nearby, Alicante has numerous bars, restaurants and night clubs catering for its cosmopolitan clientele. Close to Gran Alacant and just five minutes by car, is the typically Spanish resort of Los Arenales del Sol. Facing onto miles of sand duned beaches, cleaned each day, Los Arenales is a popular weekend destination for people from Alicante and families from all over Spain have holiday homes here. In the resort are plenty of bars and restaurants, some with superb views of the sea and Alicante on the other side of the bay. During the spring and summer water sports of all types are available from the beach. For beach lovers, a lazy day at Los Arenales is highly recommended.

For walkers there are a number of clearly marked trails in the El Clot Nature Park in Gran Alacant. Birdwatchers will also enjoy following the trails as there are many species to be seen at all times of the year. A little further afield there is excellent walking near the Santa Pola lighthouse whose light can be seen most evenings from Gran Alacant.

Carabassi Beach, which is one of the best beaches on the Costa Blanca is on your doorstep and all the facilities you need are close at hand.

Gran Alacant is a superb choice for basing your stay on Spain’s glorious Costa Blanca.
