Traditional granite located in the heart of the unspoiled rural village of Treen, in West Cornwall, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The recent conversion of the barn was was completed to highest standard, keeping the cozy and full of character atmosphere of the Cornish cottage. The barn has been awarded 5star Gold by Visit England.

Fantastic beaches of golden sand and turquoise sea, a choice of walks for everybody from strollers to the more seriously inclined on spectacular cliffs or into hidden coves. All this and more is at the doorstep of the Barns, conveniently located near the coastal path.

The conversion of Bleujenn barn was completed in recent years, in line with the traditional character of Cornish cottages, to the highest standard. The holiday accommodation has been awarded 5star Gold by Visit England rating agency.

Locally sourced Delabole slate flooring slabs combined with underfloor heating throughout create a warm ambience for guests no matter the season. The spacious living area includes a split level kitchen-diner and lounge area with television, DVD/BluRay player and cables to connect an IPad. Dishwasher, microwave, and combined washing/dryer are provided. Outside a separate garden area for BBQ or just to relax. Private parking for two cars. Additional accommodation (air beds) can be provided on request.

We are a Cornish-Italian family of 5, counting Nero, our black Labrador. My husband Peter was born in Penzance, Cornwall, myself in Padova Italy. Both of us have traveled extensively and have clocked up many Countries Worldwide. 8 years ago we moved back to Cornwall with our daughters and we are very happy here. We like walking, kayaking and sea angling both from the kayak and the shore. We hope you will enjoy your stay in the far West of Cornwall.

Simply the best

We just loved staying at Bleujenn barn; we didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back again. Jane and I have stayed at a number of lovely holiday barn conversions but Bleujenn barn is by far the best.

Nico and Peter have done a truly superb job in every aspect of the renovation and interior design. It is easy to see why they’ve got a 5 gold star rating.

We both loved the location near two of the finest beaches probably anywhere in the UK not to mention being able to walk to such an excellent pub.

We have absolutely no hesitation recommending Bleujenn as being excellent in every aspect.

Our week at Bleujenn fulfilled all our hopes and expectations. Sometimes you ask yourself whether you can trust reviews but with Bleujenn you most certainly can!. We had hoped for a warm, cosy yet spacious holiday home, equipped to a high standard and with no disappointments and located in an area of exceptional beauty. And that's what we got.

Bleujenn ticks all the boxes most generously and most thoughtfully and when you meet the owners, Nico & Peter, you will understand why. They have set out to deliver charm, quality and practicality to a high standard and to make their visitors feel most welcome the moment you step through the door. They have succeeded.

Be assured! You wont be making a mistake if you choose this accommodation for your holiday. Quite the reverse. You'll be opening the door on a five star experience, whatever the weather.And if you appreciate nice things then you'll want to leave Bleujenn exactly as you found it - immaculate.

Wonderful accommodation

We had the best holiday ever in Bleujenn barn. It was fabulous, immaculate, tasteful accommodation and the friendly owners have taken care of every last detail. It really is in a perfect location with wonderful walks, stunning beaches and the most oldey worldy pub just a minute's walk selling great beers and food. It is also a brilliant location for visiting St Ives, Penzance and is close to all local amenities. I can't praise it highly enough and we will be back!

Superb

We stayed here for a couple of nights, the cottage was absolutely superb, it was in showroom condition and very clean. Nico is a lovely lady and very helpful. The village and area are our favourites and we will most certainly be revisiting soon.

wonderful barn - a home from home

This property was an absolute delight! Extremely clean and with every 'extra' you can think of provided- crisp white sheets, powerful hot showers, comfortable seating and individually controlled thermostats for each room for underfloor heating.

Owners cannot do enough to make your stay pleasant. Surrounding area wonderful for walking and eating. Highly recommended!!

Location

From the Owner

Treen is a much sought after location both for local families and as a holiday second home destination due to its close proximity to fabulous beaches at Pednvounder and Porthcurno as well as the Minack open air theatre and a great local pub the Logan Rock Inn. When the property came for sale in 2008 we bought it immediately after the first viewing. It was originally a farm with 3 dilapidated Barns that were used in the past to prepare flowers for market and to house cattle and the farm horse. We started the renovation of Bleujenn and Gwennel barns in January 2011 and after just over 2 years the project is completed, offering two traditional accommodation units in the heart of lovely Treen village.

Activity and Interests

Nearest Airport : Newquay at 78 Kilometres Nearest Barpub : Logan Rock Inn at 50 Metres Nearest Ferry : Plymouth at 140 Kilometres Nearest Train : Penzance at 14 Kilometres Nearest Beach : Pednvounder at 0.8 Miles Car: necessary

Treen lies in a designated area of natural beauty; its cliffs and surrounding area are maintained by the National Trust. Within walking distance from the barn are:

- the astonishing beaches Pednvounder and Porthcurno with their golden sand and crystal blue water.

- the headland Logan Rock, with its famous eighty ton granite boulder perched on the edge of the cliffs. For passionate of ancient history, the Logan Rock headland is also an Iron Age promontory fort called Treryn Dinas, defended by ramparts.

- About 30 minutes walk away is the Minack Theater, the world famous open air Theater, nested on the cliffs overlooking the sea.

- Sennen Beach for surfing is only a short car drive away.

- Penberth, the fishing Cove, an undiscovered gem, can be reached in 10 minutes walk.

Last but not least, the award winning pub located in the heart of Treen village, the Logan Rock Inn, which serves a very good selection of food and drinks.

Back from the beach or from an exploration of the area, you can experience the life of a small village, where it feels that time has halted in its tracks: walk to the local quaint pub, The Logan Rock Inn, which serves good food and a wast selections of drinks; watch the cows walk to their pasture or simply relax in the quiet surroundings.
