About the property

Two Bedooms With One Bathroom, Pool, Jacuzzi and wifi

The property has one floor and a tower. On the first floor there is a bedroom with 1 doble bed and aditional bed, a bathroom with a bath, the kitchen and the leaving room. The livingroom is open to a nice large terrace with BBQ, and a nice flat garden with a pool and a Jacuzzi. In the tower is an other bedroom with a double bed and air-condition.

In the garden there is some nice trees that give shade and shelter in which you can relax and enjoy nature. During most of the year it is possible to enjoy a good barbecue in this beautiful scenery.

Not fare away from the house just 2 kilometres is Calonge village with an medieval castle and a street market. If you want more city live, you could drive 10 minutes to Playa de Aro o Palamós two cities with beaches and a lot of typical Restaurants. In one hour time you could be in Barcelona City to visit one of the most beatiful city in Spain.

Nice villa, the pool is lovely

We had a great holiday in the villa. The pool is wonderful; clean, nice and big with plenty of chairs and sun loungers plus an outside shower. The garden is lovely and the aspect and immediate area is very nice. It has the feeling of being "away from it all" in a very quiet road with plenty off space all around and not particularly looked upon by other villas. The villa was very clean.

The major problem for us was the lack of air conditioning in the ground floor bedroom ( it is only available in the first floor bedroom). The nights were warm and close, as you would expect; we were unable to open the window as there is no mosquito netting on the windows and as such we were extremely hot, uncomfortable and did not sleep well any of the nights ( I normally have no problem sleeping in heat). Air con would be a vast improvement,or at least mosquito netting and a fan. You can manage fine in the rest of the house without any aircon. Also, the bathroom shower is very poor, we had to use the outside shower when washing our hair (3 girls with long hair) which has a limited supply of warm water. I was also quite surprised that there were no essential supplies left in the villa e.g salt and pepper, coffee filter papers etc. We had to buy most things new( including ant repellants due to an ant infestation in the upstairs bedroom the first night!). We therefore left quite a lot of things in the villa when we vacated, e.g 91 coffee filter papers ( we used 9 out of 100), washing up liquid, kitchen roll, mustard, almost full salt and pepper pots etc. It seems odd that none of the previous occupants had left anything at all, we've always found that that has been the norm in previous holiday lettings; you use up some of the leftover items and then you re-stock whatever needs replacing. It would also be nice to have have a relaxing chair for the fourth person to sit in in the evenings rather than having to sit on the footrest. We found that despite the citronella candles and mosquito repelllants we were being bitten by mosquitos so we had to sit inside in the evenings. We had to take it in turns to sit on the stool as no one wanted to sit on it!

The location of the villa is great, you need a car, but most facilities, attractions are very close and you don't have to drive very far. Girona is well worth a visit, Platya del Castell is a nice beach to visit, next junction up from Palamos. Palamos is good to visit particulate in the evenings around the old quarter.

The villa is south facing, on a large plot, within a residential area. This unique area of the Costa Brava remains unspoilt, and is characterised by green, lush rolling hillsides covered in evergreen cork, olive and oak. There are magnificent beaches, sandy coves, and historic coastal and inland villages to visit, all within easy driving distance. The local area also has beautiful coastal walks and countryside trails to enjoy. There are plenty of activities for young people, including all the usual water-sports, plus cycling, kayaking, snorkeling, horse riding, karting, quad-biking, and a large water park - all nearby. It's also very easy to get to the wonderful cities of Barcelona and Perpignan for a day out, by train or car, and the beautiful and historic towns of Girona, La Bisbal, Besalu, Cadaques and Figueres, are even nearer.
