The apartment Bernini House is located in the historic center of Rome, only 100 meters from St. Peter / Vatican.

The Bernini house is a well-refined apartment at the first floor of a very elegant period building just renovated. The apartment is outside the ZTL and can be easily reached by car. Parking is also very convenient with free parking spaces on the street or in a paid private garage.

It is located on the mezzanine floor and there are 10 steps to climb on foot to enter the apartment.

The apartment was completely renovated in March 2012 and is composed of two bedrooms with double bed, two bathrooms, kitchen, living room with double sofa bed (max 6 people - 75 sqm).

The apartment is equipped with washing machine and dryer, the kitchen has refrigerator and everything you need to cook and eat.
All rooms are equipped with Internet WiFi, TV, Air Conditioning / Heating
The apartment comes complete with linen and towels for all guests.

An amazing view of the Bernini's famous colonnade of Saint Peter's Square - which you can enjoy directly from your room or the living rooms - fills the atmosphere

Great stay for our first visit to Rome

The apartment is not “super modern “ but it is clean and tidy and great value for money. Location is brilliant - close to Vatican and very easy transport links ( buses and taxis literally on your doorstep) so a perfect base for tourists. Lots of nice restaurants very close by which are reasonably priced Would definitely recommend

Very nice bedrooms, convenient to Vatican

The apartment worked for us. For two nights, another couple was with us and they had their own suite. For the next three nights, we were able to rent just one bedroom, bath, and kitchen/living area. The kitchen might be better appointed, but the beds were comfortable. Most restaurants in the area were not very good--very touristy. But we took a taxi over to Trastevere several nights. Food there is much better, authentic. This apartment is not really in Trastevere, though it is close. You have to navigate some serious roadways to get over to the neighborhood. Hence the taxi rides. It's worth visiting Trastevere--lots of charm."

Perfect stay near Vatican

Me, my husband and another couple have stayed in Bernini House for a long weekend in January 2013. We wanted a place near Vatican, close to restaurants and all attractions. Bernini House was absolutely perfect, we've walked everywhere! Vatican was literally down the road. I loved the fact that the apartment was very clean and towel and linens were crispy white. The fact that we had a separate bathrooms was a huge bonus (we've never run out of hot water :)) Beds are amazing! We were travelling with pregnant lady and she said she had the best sleep ever! and me and my husband completely agree with that. Travelling from and to the apartment was very easy, Irina explained to us everything we needed to know on a very first day. Even though it's very easy to use a bus, which stops literally outside the apartment, we've walked everywhere and come back by taxi, which I found very affordable (less than €10 from any point it central Rome). And last but not least a massive thank you to Alessandra and Irina for being very flexible with us (they've let us check in very late-10pm and check out at 6pm) and for answering all our questions before arrival. If we ever come back to Rome we definitely gonna stay at Bernini House

Definitely would stay again!

This is a GREAT location! It was hard to imagine how close to the vatican it actually is, but you literally walk 2 blocks and under via de porta cavaleggeri and you are on vatican grounds and at the side entrance to St. Peters Square. The flat is wonderful with comfortable beds. The windows open out to the street, and our first night in the flat (on a Sunday night) there was what seemed to be a walking church service in streets around the Vatican. It was the first time we had ever experience anything like this, and we feel if we had stayed anywhere else we would have missed out on this amazing service! The only reason we gave it 4 out of 5 stars was we were told we would have the flat to ourselves and access to the kitchen, which ended up not being the case the first afternoon/night. The first night we were limited to a single bedroom and bathroom, as the "main" part of the unit with the living room, kitchen and 2nd bedroom/bathroom were still being used by other people.The next day the owners came and had that area cleaned and we moved our belongings to that portion, and our first room was cleaned. It ended up working out fine, and we had seperate keys (there is a main hallway that connects the two areas so you get a key for the "front door" and then a key to your "unit" so you never have keys to both bedrooms if it is just the 2 of you) we just weren't expecting there to be other people in the flat (we never even saw the other people that were staying there). Like I said it wasn't a huge deal, it just kind of surprised us. The property was well kept, clean, and fresh linens and towels. The unit looks out onto the bus stop which is very convienent for getting around all of Rome. When we come back, we will hopefully be able to stay here again! On a side note, there are many restaurants right down the block from the flat, after spending a few days here, we found that the "La Vittoria ristorante" was probably one of the best places we ate at during our trip to Italy. Its within walking distance and has a small out door seating area, their house wine and food was reasonable and fantastic! Thank you for a FANTASTIC stay, and hopefully we will be able to return to your great flat!

Time for 3 days

Property looked much better in the listing. Two out of three AC units did not work. Washer/dryer combo was a huge pain to operate. The location was convenient to the Vatican City and bus route. Driver a to and from the property were great!
