For hiking around your rental, Montfaucon is crossed by the GR46 which is one of the countless secondary routes to St Jacques de Compostelle (Figeac, detour by Rocamadour then descent by Montfaucon and Labastide-Murat to reach the banks of the Lot and reach Cahors)

For your walks, most of the essential sites in the region are located less than 50 km from your tourist rental (Rocamadour, Padirac, St Cirq Lapopie, Cahors, Figeac and Sarlat to name a few).

Hot Holiday

Lovely large property with a wonderful swimming pool but without criticism I make the following observations. 1. Arrived at midnight due to delayed flight from the UK to find the beds not made up as usual with other gites and that there were no towels provided at the property. It would be very difficult to carry these in a suitcase. 2. The owner stated that a fan would not be needed. This did not prove to be the case and there should be one in each bedroom. I had to purchase one. 3. There was no complimentary starter pack as we have found on all other occasions. 4. It would have been of great assistance for an Information Folder to have been provided giving details of local medical services including emergency telephone numbers and general information regarding markets and shopping. 5. We were surprised that the breakage deposit was 1,000 euros. This was higher than we have paid in the past on other properties which has not exceeded 400 euros.

Calme et nature

Belle maison ancienne en pierres. En ouvrant ses volets le matin, on a l'impression d'être dans une maison à la Marcel Pagnol, avec la piscine en plus... Endroit très calme dans un petit village ancien. On y dort très bien. Commerces à 5 km et proximité de l'autoroute (mais on n'entend rien) pour aller rapidement au nord ou au sud. Très bon séjour.
