An ultra-convenient and relaxing second floor apartment, part of an antique palazzo in upmarket San Samuele - a calm and cultured neighbourhood of galleries and antique shops, well clear of the hustle and bustle yet close to Campo Santo Stefano with its inviting outdoor cafes and the Palazzo Grassi Museum of Modern Art.

Steps away from the illustrious ‘Palazzo Mocenigo’ on the Grand Canal - the one time Venetian bolthole of ‘mad, bad and dangerous to know’ British romantic poet and literary figure, Lord Byron (1788-1824), and next door to ‘Casa Veronese’ - home of the outstanding 16th Century Italian Renaissance painter, Paolo Veronese (creator of ‘Wedding at Cana’ and ‘Feast in the House of Levi’ which today hangs in the Accademia Academy of Fine Arts just across the nearby Accademia Bridge).

Ca’ Grassi 1 is peaceful, light and airy and freshly decked out in delightful colour throughout. It offers wifi internet connection and, in terms of its accommodation, comprises a spacious and tastefully furnished living/dining room, a well-equipped kitchen (stop off at the local grocery/delicatessen and wine shop for ingredients to create your own favourite dishes back at ‘home’), two comfortable double bedrooms (one large, the other more compact and both with double beds), a bathroom with bathtub and a hand held shower and a second bathroom with a spacious shower. It has been completely renewed .

Let yourself be tempted by the nearby cafes and restaurants and, when you’re ready to venture forth and explore or re-visit the city’s countless charms, you’ll find two vaporetto stops just minutes away along with two ‘Traghettos’ which, during operating times (please check before making your journey) ferry passengers by gondola across the Grand Canal – one running between Calle Del Tragheto (near Sant’ Angelo) and San Toma in the district of San Polo and the other running between San Samuele and Ca’ Rezzonico and its Museum OF 18th Century Art in Dorsoduro.

Check-in and Check-out procedures

Upon your arrival, one of our representatives will meet you at the vaporetto stop (or water taxi disembarkation point) closest to the apartment (as agreed during our prior correspondence with you) and accompany you to the property. All the information relating to your apartment such as heating, use of the kitchen and, where available, air-conditioning and internet etc. will be provided together with a welcome information file and a 24 hr emergency contact no. It is at this point that payment for the Security Deposit is taken by our representative - for further details of methods of payment etc. please see the ‘Property Rates’ section above. Standard check-in time is between 3.00 pm. and 7.30 pm. daily. (It may be possible to arrange different check-in times upon request at the time of booking. Please note that arrivals between 7.30 pm. and midnight incur a late arrival fee of €50, payable in cash upon arrival.) We kindly ask you to check out by 11.00 am in order that we may prepare the apartment for its next guests.

Quiet, large accomodation, close to Piazza San Marco

This is a beautiful, clean and well maintained apartment in a quiet neighborhood yet still within walking distance of restaurants and shopping, grocery store close by as well. Checking in was easy and handled very professionally. We were met by a representative who explained everything very clearly and answered all our questions. The apartment was very large, kitchen was well equipped, bathrooms roomy, bedrooms comfy. 10 minute walk to Piazza San Marco. Two vaporetto stops close by for easy access to beautiful Venezia. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

A wonderful apartment

It is a modern and well furnished apartment. It is well equipped and have everything you want. Situated in a very convenient location, 5 to 10 minutes walk to St. Mark Square, Rialto, Accademia, etc. Many art galleries and a piazza/campo nearby. A quiet yet convenient place. We enjoyed our stay very much!

Lovely apartment!

Ca' Grassi was exactly as advertised and we enjoyed our stay there. The apartment is very large with high ceilings and large windows. Everything was clean and the kitchen, although small, is bright, modern and well equipped. It's location is super for sightseeing around Venice. Thank you to the staff of Views on Venice for meeting us at the waterbus stop, showing us around the flat and for the tips on getting around in Venice. Great stay!

Gorgeous apartment!

My family and I stayed in this gorgeous apartment for 4 nights - it was absolutely spotless, very convenient and gorgeous!! The apartment is close to all the sights and the vaproretto stops are only a few minutes away. The apartment is well furnished with everything you would want. The grocery store and pastry stops as well as good restaurants are very close by. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!!

Nice flat spotlessly clean. Great location.

Nice flat which we found to be spotlessly clean. In a great central location which made walking everywhere very easy and convenient. Views on Venice are a great, efficient and reliable company who arranged private taxi transfer for us from the airport which dropped us very close to the apartment where we were met very promptly by two staff members who showed us around a gave us lots of useful information! They very kindly allowed us to stay in apartment until 2pm on day of departure as no new guests were arriving that day. Excellent service! Many thanks.

Prices & Availability


  • Please be aware that the council tourist tax is not included in our rates.
    We kindly ask you to pay it in cash upon arrival. For further information you can click on the following link:

    Please note that shorter stays e.g. 3/5 nights, are more expensive per night than weekly or longer stays due to the fixed costs of final cleaning, check-in etc.

    Nightly rates start to decrease for stays of 8 nights and over, with longer stays (more than 2 weeks) being even better value - for stays exceeding 2 weeks.
  • All rates, irrespective of length of stay, are fully inclusive of all utilities* - gas, electricity, bed linen, towels, final cleaning, welcome on arrival and check-in up until 7.30 p.m.** are all included, as are air-conditioning and internet access if available at your chosen apartment.And while the Venice Tourist Tax*** is an extra , there are NO HIDDEN CHARGES.

    Rentals of over 7 nights also include a weekly bed linen and towel change during your stay.

    * Telephone charges, where applicable, are extra.
    ** Arrivals between 7.30 p.m. and midnight incur a late arrival fee of €50, payable in cash upon arrival.
    *** Introduced by the City of Venice Council on stays at hotels, b&b, campsites, apartment rentals etc., this per night/per person tax is levied on the first 5 consecutive nights of a client’s stay in Venice and is payable to your Views on Venice representative in cash (euros) upon arrival at the apartment.
  • The Rental Deposit (40% of the rental) will be debited from your credit card when you finalise your booking with us, while the balance will be debited by you through our credit card payment gateway at least 20 days prior to your arrival. Note that if paying by bank transfer, an extra €20 administrative fee will be charged to each transaction (i.e. deposit and final payment).

    The Security Deposit (the amount specified alongside the apartment rate) is required against any breakage or damages to the apartment or to its furniture and equipment caused by the client during the rental period. This is payable to Views on Venice upon presentation of your credit card upon arrival at the apartment prior to occupancy.
    Credit card details will be automatically recorded and subsequently cancelled by Views on Venice on the day of departure should no breakage or damages to the apartment or its furniture and equipment have occurred during the rental period.
