Lovely cottage in lovely setting

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in the Dairy, which is a lovingly converted 2 bedroom cottage, with lots of character but also lots of contemporary features tastefully incorporated. The kitchen is homely and includes a dishwasher! The lounge is cosy and features all Sky channels. The beds are very comfy and the wetroom bathroom is lovely. If there is a downside, it is the one toilet in the bathroom - we got by with 3 of us, but more than 3 might need a rota of sorts! Don't let that put you off though as this is a lovely cottage for a couple, but also for a family, as kids will love feeding the animals with Farmer Vic!

Fabulous

  • 5 of 5

just returned from a five day stay at Amber Mill south wing there were 12 in our party ranging from youngsters to grandparents we had a fabulous time the property is large, clean and well equipped with en-suite bathrooms to three bedrooms inc a family bathroom, the children loved the play ground and collecting the eggs each day, Vic's time spent with the children was really appreciated answering all their questions and letting them feed the animals, we would certainly return.

Cosy, immaculate and lovely location!

  • 4 of 5

Immaculate cottage, lovely farm location and very peaceful.

Vic is always on site if you need to ask anything, he also brought us a selection on fresh free range eggs from the farm which was lovely!

The full sky package and underfloor heating went down a treat too.

I would have given 5 stars if the bed had been a little bigger however. Myself and my husband are 6ft and 6ft5 respectively so having a King size bed would have been better but I suppose that is personal preference.

Would recommend the cottage to a small family or couple. We hope to bring friends with us next time and stay in one of the larger properties with a hot tub!

Have every intention of returning

  • 5 of 5

Elliot House exceeded our expectations. The property was perfect for our group as we are 4 couples. It really didn't matter which room you ended up with as they were all spacious with double beds and own bathrooms.

Unfortunately weather was dreadful so we didn't get the opportunity to take in any walks but we did manage a stroll to the nearest pub where we were made to feel very welcome.

Hot tub was fun and we used this Saturday evening for around 45 minutes. We look plastic champagne flutes so we could enjoy a bit of fiz whilst in the tub.

We are all looking forward to returning to this great property and hopefully weather will be kind to us next time.

We want to live here!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in Elliot house for a very happy 3 nights. The property was easy to find - just off Alfreton and is in a great location for some beautiful walks (we suggest Chatsworth park). The house is gorgeous! With spacious, light, beautifully furnished rooms and with the kitchen very well equipped. Extremely comfy beds, cosy family rooms and the best hot tub! The owners are lovely, even bringing us fresh eggs on arrival.

Can't recommend this property enough, completely perfect and we all want to come back soon/live there forever.
