Why Elaine Parkes chose East Sussex

We love the seaviews and the fact that we are within easy reach of fabulous restaurants in Hastings Old Town. Pelham Cresent is one of the most picturesque listed buildings in Hastings. We love to spend weekends here if its not rented out.

Stayed here for my birthday/valentines weekend.

Absolutely lovely place, great balcony for breakfast/coffee etc.

You can lay in bed and watch the sun come up over the sea.

Centrally located for everything.

Beautiful apartment in excellent location

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriend and I stayed over New Year and could not have asked for much more from the place. The apartment is beautifully finished and well-equipped - the interior photos on the website didn't really do it justice. We found it wonderfully located for visiting Hastings Old Town & seaside attractions, as well as the new shopping centre & amenities. We travelled by train and Hastings station is only a 5-10 minute walk away, which we were grateful for with heavy bags and some wild weather! This also made it good for exploring the wider local area.

The apartment is a top-floor duplex, so anyone with a serious problem negotiating 3 flights of stairs should perhaps bear that in mind. The reward is the view out over the sea and a feeling of getting away from crowds below. The kitchen is fully stocked with equipment, should you choose to use it, and we were grateful for the provision of a few basics - bread, butter, milk, tea/coffee, etc. The living room was a little chilly, but seemed to have new sofas - they were different to the ones shown on the website. The bedroom which we used was very comfortable and the others looked fine too. Bathroom was clean and spacious.

Overall a lovely place to spend a few days!

Perfect spot!

  • 5 of 5

We rented Elaine's seafront apartment to celebrate a birthday which we did in style with a champagne breakfast on the balcony overlooking an empty beach in glorious sunshine. The apartment was spotlessly clean, light and spacious and equipped with everything we could need (including the coffee pot)! The beds were really comfortable with good quality bedding. It was excellently placed for easy access to the old town and long beach walks. We highly recommend it. Thank you Elaine!
