Smart and stylish two bedroomed apartment in picturesque Saint Servan/Saint Malo. The apartment is 55 m2 all on one level, with access to a private stone-flagged terrace and rear garden. The Salon is furnished with comfortable seating, a wide-screen television that receives British & French channels. A CD player, DVD,s & Library of books are provided. Within the Salon there is a dining area with table and chairs. Meals can also be enjoyed on the terrace as garden furniture and BBQ is provided. The separate kitchen is bright and modern with new all-electric appliances including oven & microwave oven, fast speed induction hobs, a steamer, kettle and toaster. Fully equipped with all pots/crocks/utensils. Off the kitchen is a shower room with walk-in shower, vanity unit and washing machine/tumble dryer. Separate WC with vanity unit. Two bedrooms (1 double bed & 2 twin beds). Plenty of clothes hanging space. Free street parking outside premises. Easy walking distance to beach and shops.

Saint Servan is not a seasonal resort, but is alive and bustling all year long. If you haven’t yet discovered this ‘village’ within the heart of Saint Malo, you will be delighted by the flower-decked high street ‘Rue Ville Pépin’ with it's street cafés, stylish boutiques, traditional butchers and patisseries. There's also a market twice weekly in the square. There's a theatre here hosting various concerts plus a cinema and a health centre/gym.

From the apartment It's a short stroll down to the Quai Solidor with its historic Tour Solidor, beach-front cafés and restaurants. Just before the Quai is the entrance to the Parc des Corbières, a wonderful place to stroll and enjoy the superb views over the bay and the Rance Estuary. The Bel Air Parc and the Rose Garden of St. Anne are both close by.

Local Activities include Thalasso-therapy, swimming & water sports, beach-combing, sailing, walking and riding. There are also tennis courts in town. From the centre of Saint Servan it's about a fifteen minute stroll to the port of Saint Malo. Set within a walled fort called 'intra muros' there are dozens of fashion shops, restaurants, bars and tourist attractions. From Saint Malo you can take a short boat trip across the Rance to Dinard, famous for it's smart Edwardian town, Casino and many beautiful beaches. There's also a golf course here and an airport with low cost flights to the U.K.

Along the Emerald Coast there are plenty of other interesting places to visit. Mont Saint Michel bay is a national conservation site renowned for both its architectural and natural features (with the Mont Saint Michel in the middle) it's a truly magical place. Cancale (a small fishing port opposite the Mont Saint Michel) is well-known for its flat oysters. Cap Fréhel (one of the finest sites in Brittany) is located on the edge of 300 hectares of wild moorland.

Down the Rance valley is Dinan, a picturesque medieval town with castle ramparts, narrow cobbled streets and traditional oak-framed buildings. Within the ancient walls are the clock tower and Duchess Anne Chateau.

Why Mrs. Jennifer Howard chose Saint-Malo area

Occupying the ground floor of this old stone house, our apartment 'La Cour' has the benefits of the garden flat, with access to the rear walled garden which enjoys the sun for most of the day and the sunsets are fantastic. We also have our own private (south facing) terrace for dining 'al fresco'. Our apartment in Saint Servan (at the heart of Saint Malo) is so well-placed that we can park the car for days on end and enjoy stretching our legs. This apartment is situated on a street that leads from the beach at Bay Solidor to Saint Servan's' town centre - It's less than a five minute walk to either.

What makes this apartment unique

A lot of seaside resorts feel rather sad in the autumn and winter months, but not Saint Servan! It's fun at any time of the year. The main street (Rue Ville Pépin) is great for browsing the individual and stylish shops. Each of the four seasons influences the variety of displays of local produce, as well as fashion and objects of desire.

Even if you don't have your own boat, the Marina at Saint Servan is worth a visit to see the hundreds of beautiful boats and yachts from all over the world. Next to the Marina there's safe bathing for all the family at the large sandy beach 'Les Sablons'.

100 metres from here is the Quay Solidor which faces west across the Bay Solidor in the Rance estuary. This is a picturesque setting with great cafés, bars, and small interesting galleries. There's a great choice of restaurants and bistros, offering seafood, grills and local specialities.. In the summer months there's a weekly brocante market here full of interesting collectibles and antiques.

We had a marvelous holiday in st Malo, and your apartment was perfect in every way. We highly appreciated that everything was so tidy and clean, and that it was so well equipped with soap, towels, things in the kitchen, a barbeque etc. We really felt welcome.

There's a cupboard with shelving for storage and a small chest of drawers. A bedside table separates the twin beds which can be pushed together. Clothes hanging area in hallway. Notes:
As this is a ground floor apartment it is convenient for guests who prefer not to climb stairs, however the doorways are standard and therefore not suitable for wheelchairs. The floors are either flagged, tiled or covered with wooden parquet and the rugs lift up for easy cleaning. The door of the salon opens onto a private stone-flagged terrace, separated from the garden by a low stone wall. The garden is walled and entered by a side gate. It would be possible to bring bikes, or a small dinghy to keep in the courtyard. Small pets may be considered, subject to house rules.

Beautifully furnished and exceptionally well-equipped apartment with a lovely garden. Very well located for beach/shops/restaurants/ferry terminal and a short walk to Saint Malo "intra muros". Had not discovered Saint Servan on previous visits to Saint Malo - it is a real little town in its own right, main street has everything you could possibly need, a lovely market and excellent bus services.

We particularly liked Le Bulot restaurant and the Corniche d'Alethe for evening walks and views along the coast.

Definitely hoping to return to La Cour.

My family had a relaxing holiday at la cour which is a great apartment just minutes from the beaches of Saint Servan and the town of Saint Malo. The apartment was perfectly equipped for a family of four.

Great place to stay San Servan

We spent a very comfortable 2 weeks in this well equipped, centrally located apartment with wifi which was vital for our 2 boys!. There are many excellent bakeries nearby and convenient grocery stores. It is 5 mins from a lovely harbour with good restaurants and within walking distance of walled city of St Malo. It was an excellent base for exploring the region with fantastic beaches and places of historical interest. We were blessed with exceptional weather but if you are unlucky to have a wet day or two there is an excellent aquarium and large shopping centre close by.

Great in all seasons!

This is the second time we've stayed at 'La Cour' - and it's a great retreat in both summer and winter!

We decided to have a short break in October, and though it was chilly the sun came out and we bundled up warm to enjoy this great apartment in St Servan. The apartment is perfect - just a short walk from the beach at Bay Solidor which has plenty of little bars and cafes to wind down and relax in.

The apartment is also only a few steps away from the picturesque Harbour at St.Servan and the safe bathing beach. When we visited in July, we enjoyed playing on the very large sandy beach and swimming (paddling) with our little daughter. There's a beachside cafe there too where you can sit with a beer and 'observe' the world going by.

We can't fault the impeccable apartment and organisation - we will definitely be returning again to recharge our batteries!

Lovely comfortable flat with pretty garden.

We loved this flat on the ground floor of an old french town house. It was decorated in a light and airy modern style, but the old wooden ceiling timbers had been left exposed to retain its character. The garden was full of pretty shrubs and flowers and we made full use of it during our stay as the weather was perfect. St. Servan was a delight. We have been to the area many times over the years, but never explored this part of the coast near St. Malo. We were delighted to discover that there was so much history to St. Servan and spent a lot of time walking around the area. The shops just up the road from the flat sold everything you could need and everyone was very friendly. We would definitely return and recommend to our friends.

A perfect base for a family holiday in St. Malo...

We had a fantastic holiday. The location was perfect for exploring beautiful beaches and our daughters loved climbing on the rocks, finding rock-pools and touching the anemones they found in them, as well as collecting beautiful shells. We were within easy walking distance of St. Malo itself and we all enjoyed the bustle of the market and browsing in the shops. The holiday property was great and the neighbours were really friendly. It was the perfect base for our first family holiday abroad - thank you.
