Cottage within minutes of Saint John
The cottage looks as pictured on VRBO. It is a cottage not a home. Therefore more rustic. Loved the wood burning fireplace on the cool evenings. The location was great for using as home base for day trips to go sightseeing. Kathleen was quick to respond to a concern and a gracious hostess in providing all the basics required for start up in a rental property. Really loved the area the cottage is located in and enjoyed walking around the area after our sightseeing that was done by car. While there is a tv it is located in the loft away from the warmth of the fireplace and heat pump therefore we did not even attempt to turn it on. This cottage felt like it was not first and foremost a rental property. It felt like a place the owners go to retreat from the rat race and they were gracious enough to share. It does need a microwave and a tv on main floor as a rental property but as I said it doesn’t feel like it’s primary existence is to be a rental. Also of note, you the renter will be the dishwasher, as with many cottages this one does not have a dishwasher. Thank you Kathleen for providing everything related to having a fire each evening.
