Great place for a holiday
The apartment had all we needed for a great holiday. Communication with the owner was very quick, the apartment was a good size with a lovely pool onsite. There is a supermarket 5 mins walk away, good variety of restaurants all within 10-15 mins walk and the beach is good for families.

Second time visit , still love it
This is the second time we have stayed here, and loved it just as much as the first. It is tucked away inn a lovely quiet corner but not that far from all the main amenities that you can need. The apartment has recently had the bedroom renevated , which looks lovely and the addition of aircon in the lounge area makes for a cooler room. Will definately go back again, Many Thanks

Wonderful stay in Olhus
Firstly, I must praise the apartment owner, Graça, for her prompt replies to my emails in the booking and build-up to our short stay in her lovely property. The listing is very accurate in the description of the apartment, but the reality is even better. It is extremely spacious for a 1-bedroom, and has every convenience you may require. Sitting on the large terrace overlooking the pool, enjoying breakfast in the morning sun was a real treat. I just wish we had stayed longer and taken advantage of the BBQ grill out on the terrace. The location is about 60m from the main road that runs through Olhus D'Agua on a quiet side road. We were never disturbed by any traffic noise, or indeed any other noise while we were there. There is a lovely little bakery shop close by called Caffe Crème, that we bought fresh bread from on a morning, and this place also did scrumptious pastries and cakes. A little further down from Caffe Crème is a great Italian restaurant called S Martino, that does great pizzas. The lovely little beach is just a 10 minute stroll down the hill. My only regret is that we didn't stay a little longer. Maybe next time. Thank You Graça for sharing your lovely home

Great homely apartment
From the moment we arrived , we felt at home with all the bits and pieces around the apartment, which was what enticed us in the first place. First impressions were that it was bigger than we thought it was, which is most usual. The apartment was really comfy, with more equipment than we were ever going to use, did love the oranges left for us and the fact there was an orange squeezer too. The rooms stay really cool all through the day as the corridors are shaded and there was a breeze going through at all times. This is a well placed apartment with shops restaurants, bars beach and the main street only a short walk away.. The owner Graca makes you feel really welcome even before you have got there and we would love to come back again.

Vacation from Hell
"Stunning" is an inaccurate description of this property. The photos give the impression of an upstairs sleeping accommodation and ground floor living space with adjoining terrace. In fact it was totally ground floor with balcony and very little privacy. On one side, an occupied adjoining apartment and balcony; on the other side an access door to the building and stairs. Limited sunlight too, as the apartment is in a corner, shadowed by an overhanging balcony and the above described privacy issues. The pool and its terrace were unusable throughout our stay (Dec 4 to March 26) as there was a major renovation in progrees that we were not aware of until arrival. Noisy tile removal, and sanding dust were an issue not only at "poolside" but windblown dust to the balconies above, so unpleasant to sit there, and the windows needed to be closed almost all day. In January a major renovation of an apartment above, entailed horrendous mechanical noises (Jack hammering demolition of walls) (screeching tile removal and cutting tools) To be fair - Our owner was not advised of this prior , but the deafening noise continued throughout our stay, with other inconveniences of parked construction vehicles and a skip full of rubble outside the front entrance.. and door wedged open for the builder's convenience. The apartment itself was generally just "okay" when we removed the hemp "carpets" that shed fibres and dust and requested their disposal. We purchased more suitable floor coverings ourselves and were comfortable. Although we realize that pictures and ornaments are personal taste, The hindu/buddhist religious, theme were not our taste.. For the future we would recommend our owner to decorate with pictures more in-keeping with the lovely Olhos d'Agua area. In general notwithstanding our specific criticisms, we think a general upgrade of the apartment is needed (including safety aspects) Sadly, it pales in comparison with our past perfect villa rentals in Olhos d'Agua
