Weston Lodge is a grand Georgian building set in its own grounds. With its stylish decor this romantic and quirky spacious apartment on the second (top) floor will wow and cosset you.

You will have an allocated parking space, extensive sunny communal gardens and a little bit of peace and quiet.

The apartment is well stocked with kitchen equipment and a few basic cooking necessities etc, to wide screen TV, DVD player, radio and WiFi, books and magazines to browse.

Whether your stay (minimum of 2 nights) is for family, friends or a romantic weekend get away, you could not ask for a more delightful retreat from the hustle and bustle of Bath City Centre, and yet you are within seconds of quiet countryside walks which connect to the Cotswold Way.

This is a stylish and peaceful apartment within the fine setting of a Grand Georgian Bath building.

It is well appointed, quiet and has lovely countryside views and extensive gardens & parking for numerous cars.

Sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms, with the option of a 5th fold-up bed in the lounge or master bedroom.

+ short breaks (2 night minimum)

+ Romantic? Most definitely!

+ Two couples? Ideal.

+ For a group of friends? Perfect.

+ A family? Oh yes.

- Smokers? Sorry, definitely not inside the building.

- Pets? Not allowed at all, sorry.

- Hen or stag parties? No sorry, definitely not; this is a quiet residential building; so no noisy groups please.

-Easy arrival / check in, with keys held securely in a key-safe so you may arrive when it suits you, after 3pm, sometimes earlier.

You feel you are privileged to stay in a building such as this, which has a grand feel about it. The bathroom is the quirkiest I've ever seen.

Shops etc are only a stroll away and the 30 minute walk into town is a delight, along leafy residential streets, through Royal Victoria Park, along the famous Royal Crescent and via the Circus to central Bath and all it's delights.

There are country side walks on the doorstep too.

The apartment has gas central heating and is mainly carpeted, with a tiled floor in the kitchen, and cushion floor in the master bathroom.

The master bedroom with king size (5ft) double bed and en-suite bathroom is in it's own wing of the apartment, and so would be quiet for a child using the fifth bed, if they needed to be in bed earlier than the rest of the group.

We provide the 5th extra fold up bed on request in this bedroom (or in the lounge).

The second bedroom can have twin beds, or these can be joined to make a comfortable king size (5ft) double bed.

Please specify how you would like this arranged when booking.

There is not sufficient room to put the extra bed in the second bedroom.

This room has an en-suite shower room, which is small, but has a loo and spacious shower.

The fold-up bed is provided for occasional use (in the lounge or master bedroom) and linen (and towels) are provided for this bed, when required.

A childs travel cot can be provided too, on request, but you would need to provide your own linen for this please.

Note that access to a loo is only through either one of the bedrooms.

Kitchen: Stylish well fitted separate kitchen. Equipment includes, electric oven and gas hob with extractor fan, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, kettle, toaster, cafetiere and all the usual cooking utensils and pans etc. Nice views over Bath from it's windows.

Tumble dryer, ironing board, iron (and even soft water for the iron) and a hairdryer are all provided.

Living Room:

Spacious sunny lounge with lovely outlook, comfortable 2 and 3 seater sofas. WiFi, TV with DVD player, CD/radio, stereo with mP3/iPod etc. headphone plug connection.

A large round dining table that can seat 6.

This is a beautiful room with Georgian features that is very relaxing.


Pleasant wide entrance hallway connecting the various rooms, as befits the apartment.

Towels and linen;

Professionally laundered, quality cotton sheets, duvet covers, and towels are provided at the start of your stay, and changed weekly for longer stays.


The property is professionally cleaned prior to your arrival, and weekly, with a linen change, for longer stays.

Short stay at the Weston Lodge

Weston Lodge is elegant, immaculately clean and has everything that you need for a pleasant stay. An added special touch was a beautiful Christmas tree with lights.

Lovely peaceful location

We stayed here for a week and particularly enjoyed the peaceful location. It was very convenient as we were visiting our daughter who works at the nearby RUH in Bath. The flat was extremely well equipped with the added bonus of a dishwasher. It was only a few minutes' walk to the local Tesco store which had everything we needed. We appreciated the informative email from the owner beforehand and he was also very quick to respond to any other questions we had while we were there. After driving around the local area it was sometimes a relief to get back to the peaceful flat with its allocated parking. We discovered there was such a good bus service into the centre of Bath that we tended to use that most of the time. On one occasion four of us (all adults) got on a bus expecting to pay £4 each for a day ticket and the driver advised there was a new group ticket for £8 (Bath inner zone), £13 (outer zone) which allows up to 5 people unlimited travel all day if you buy the ticket after 9:30am Monday to Friday and all day Sat,Sun & public holidays. We tried out a few of the owner's recommended cafes/restaurants and had lovely meals at all of them. Our particular favourite was the Cote Brasserie. We're looking forward to trying some of the others when we come back to Bath. We also recommend the Bizarre Bath walking comedy walk (not a history tour of Bath) which runs from late March to the end of October. Also it's only 21 miles to Longleat Safari park where apart from the amazing animals you'll see on the safari drive through you also get the best paninis and caramel shortcake I've ever tasted. There are so many places to visit in the surrounding areas that we can't wait to come back hopefully sometime next year.

Owner's Response: This is the best review I have ever read (about anywhere), because it is comprehensive and informative, and therefore useful for other guests, which is largely the point of reviews. The bus stop is about 150m from Weston Lodge, and they come about every 10 mins, so this is a really good option and so sensible for those that don't know central Bath well. Thank you to these excellent guests.

Just as described, a comfortable appartment at the top of a large house in a quiet residential area

An Incredible Stay!!

We found ourselves with a few free days on our last holiday and booked this last minute. Jon was very quick to respond to email and all the information regarding the apartment was thorough and accurate. The sitting room is very large and comfortable and the beds were nice and soft. Having a washer and dryer was handy for catching up on washing after a week of travel. The kitchen is well stocked with the basics as well as any appliance or coffee making gear you should need. Also nice to have two bathrooms!! The views from the paths up Deanhill Ln are spectacular. If you go to the top of the hill, there is a panoramic view that includes both Bath and Bristol. The walk into town is about 30 minutes and has a few small hills but is by far the best way to get into town as your approach to Bath is through Royal Victoria Park (don't miss the botanical gardens). There are two pubs in the village of Weston. The King's Head is definitely the local's hangout so have your pint at your own risk. The Old Crown, at the top of the road, is a terrific gastro-pub with excellent food and drink and a terrific landlord who clearly knows the business. We ended up there two of our three nights. The village also has Indian and Thai talk-away, fish'n'chips and a Tesco open til 9, all a five minute walk from the apartment. Thanks much for a wonderful stay. Would definitely re-book if I was going back to that area.

Comfortable, quiet location

This property is set in a very quiet location with easy public transportation into the city of Bath. The appartment is comfortable and my family and I enjoyed a wonderful stay. Bath is a very busy city and parking is at a premium. The appartment has its own parking space and with public transport close by we seldom had need to use our car.

I do provide some recommendations for parking in central Bath in my notes to guests, so don't worry if you do wish to go into town in your car, there are spaces to be found.
