Always good to hear I am providing the right services and comfort and as for this area ....well, it couldn't be a better location for sea, mountains ancient sites and all the things you mention so I thank Greece and Mother Nature for that.

Delightful property fab views day and night
Recently returned from our 2nd visit to Kali Thea - Kato Doli, Jammie's wonderful house. We had a great time. The house has everything your need and more with the best host you could ever wish for. The views from the terrace are amazing and it is lovely to be in an authentic Greek village as opposed to a resort. A lovely beach and little harbour just a short drive down through olive groves. Lots of places to eat, serving gorgeous food either at the harbour, along the coast or in nearby villages. Plenty of books and maps and information of the area and further afield. Not too far to drive, through beautiful scenery, to see many different sites. Would definitely recommend this place and will be returning again soon. Thanks Jammie for making it so special.
The property is as described beautiful views.
Beautifully finished and maintained and well equipped. The owner was very helpful left enough provisions for the first day, arranged a local hire car and a pick up from the airport which made the journey there so easy. Also lots of recommendation about local Tavernas, but not intrusive. Lovely beaches within 20 min drive. Best for 2 people but could take 2 extra's in the living room.
Super venue, super view, super host!
Great memories of this trip, the house was perfect, Jammie was very helpful without being intrusive, amazing views any time of day. Useful books for walks etc. Look forward to coming again!

Es ist alles da was man braucht oder was einer der ehemaligen Gäste für wichtig hielt.....

Wir wünschen Jammie weiter ein gutes Händchen und viel Freude mit dem Anwesen und lieben Gästen.
Das Anwesen (Haus mit Sitzecke, Essplatz, offene Küche (nur Spüle) , Badezimmer mit WC und Badewanne, Schlafzimmer, gekocht wird in einer separaten Küche, seperate Dusche mit WC einer Traumterrasse und Parkplatz) hat unsere Erwartungen übertroffen und vermittelt das Gefühl ein kleiner Teil des Dorfes zu sein. Sauberkeit und Ordnung lassen nichts zu Wünschen übrig. Wlan und Fernsehempfang fehlen in dem Haus; Fernsehen hatten wir jeden Abend mit irren Sonnenuntergängen und Wlan gibt es auf der Terrasse der Gastgeberin und in fast in jeder Taverne. Es ist ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in die Geschichte und in eine grandiose Landschaft. Wanderungen mit unterschiedlichen Anforderungen sind in der näheren Umgebung zu erleben. Jammie stellt umfangreiches Kartenmaterial zur Verfügung. Aber auch Badestrände sind nicht weit weg.
Wir waren auch von dem am Mittwoch und Samstag stattfindenden Bauernmarkt in Kalamta begeistert; gute Ware für kleines Geld.
Empfehlen würden diesen wunderschönen Platz nur ganz lieben Freunden.
Delightful traditional property
Lovely property with modern facilities in a traditional setting. It is extremely well provided with everything needed for a comfortable stay. There are wonderful uninterrupted views of the sea and mountains from the large terrace. The owner is very attentive but not intrusive. Situated in a traditional Greek village a short drive from beautiful beaches. We would recommend this property.
Absolutely brilliant place to stay
An amazing place to stay which made for a fantastic holiday. The property owner made it though. At times, she seemed to have a sixth sense - knowing when to provide support and when to stand back. She has a great knowledge of the area so helped with places to eat, see and how to get there - and helped with car hire as well. That was good for me, as I was a little nervous about driving and the owner gave clear and helpful directions. So, I was able to see parts of Greece I wouldn't have found otherwise which made my holiday really special. The accommodation has great facilities, was clean and well-appointed - and the view is incredible - and special.
In particular, I enjoyed visiting Ancient Messinia and lots of other amazing sites. It was lovely, later in the day, to go to a beach-side bar and a swim in the sea. There's lots to see in the area.
What really made my holiday was the property - a great base for a great holiday.
I would really recommend this property and the area to friends and family.

“The view when I first walked out onto the front balcony took my breath away and the house although in need of so much work is a beautiful stone Greek Village farmhouse with enormous potential. I had to take up the challenge. It was worth it. As for the area I fell in love with its charms way back in 1986.”
Activity and Interests
The village of Kato Doloi is nestled in the foothills of the Tagyetos mountains on the fertile terraces of olives that take giant steps down to the gulf of Mesinnias.
The views are panoramic and take in mountains and sea and the most amazing sunsets.
This is the heart of the famous Kalamata olive oil region which produces wonderful organic food ..both meats and vegetable. Local Tavernas serve fresh home-made dishes and the coastal villages have ample supply of fresh fish. All accompanied by good organic local wine.
Kato Doloi is still a working Greek agricultural village. This is NOT a tourist destination. This is real Greece. The village is part of a small group of villages providing family run village shops which sometimes double as bars and in summer they often grill home reared pork souvlakis served up with fresh bread , home grown salads and proper chips. There are also several small tavernas which serve daily specials.
In July and August the villages host Panyeris… village festivals with spit roast whole pigs and lots of Greek music and dancing.
The city of Kalamata is just 30 min drive away and provides all that you could want in the way of shopping. The local Agora ( produce market - Saturday and Wednesday ) where you can buy fresh local vegetables, fish and meat and many other food products and garden plants is well worth a visit.
Just a short drive south down the Mani Peninsular brings you to the historic coastal town of Kardymili and the small low key tourist resort of Stoupa and the fishing harbour of Agios Nikolaos.
Areopolis and the Stunning Diros caves are also in easy reach and the medieval town of Mystras on the road to Sparta is another amazing local journey.
Ancient Messene ( which can rival Olympia ) and the region of the Pylion are both wonderful day destinations providing water falls , castles and amazing beaches.
This is a magical area of castles and Byzantine architecture, around every corner there is another stunning view.

“This is the REAL GREECE. The property is tucked away in a private corner of a very traditional working village. We have 39 Olive trees and harvest our own organic oil every year. The villagers are friendly and helpful. The views are to die for . In one direction a panoramic view from Koroni island at the tip of the Gulf of Messinias right up to Kalamata and for a backdrop we have the magnificent Tagyetos mountains. What more could you ask for.”
