About the property

Grade II listed Cobblers Cottage located on Harbor Front

Nestled in the heart of the village. Little Dorrit benefits from its location right on the Harbor Front. Our eye to detail and passion for collecting has re-instated all the aesthetic charm of 'bygone days' in this Grade II listed Cobblers Cottage. The decor is in period style with antiques and curios. A sitting room with comfortable leather chesterfield and matching armchairs, pine chests and free standing French dressers display choice pieces of china and copper.

The fully equipped kitchen leads out onto a sheltered courtyard with plants and garden furniture for outside relaxation. On the first floor there are two bedrooms, a double bedroom with a French antique bed 4'6' and the second is a twin bedded room with Half tester parliamentary beds. Both bedrooms have flat screen TVs. Bed Linen, towels and electricity are included. Bikes available for hire, please contact owner for further information. Unlimited free Wi-fi is also connected.

Mousehole is a picturesque fishing village on the south coast of Cornwall, between Penzance and Lands End.

A hundred years ago Mousehole (pronounced Mowsel) was a bustling port, crowded with local fishing boats landing pilchards, this has declined over the years, but Mousehole has retained much of its old world charm. Its narrow streets are filled with small shops, galleries and restaurants. Little Dorrit, build with local stone nestles around the edge of the harbor. Dylan Thomas described the village as the 'loveliest in England'. Just offshore from the harbor is St. Clements Isle, a small cluster of rocks where an ancient hermit is said to have lived and just a few hundred yards along the coast from the village is a huge cave which is believe to give rise to the name of the village.

The area is known for its outstanding beauty and truly magnificent coastline. Spoiled for choice of the many sandy beaches and famous coves to the wooded valley of Lamorna and creeks of the Helford River. Within easy reach of St. Michaels Mount and many other National Trust houses and gardens for those wishing to explore some Cornish history. The Eden project just a jaunt up the coast is well worth a visit together with the Maritime Museum at Falmouth.

A must would be to visit the open air Minack Theater perched on the cliff tops at Porthcurno with breathtaking views. The Tate Gallery at St. Ives, Poldark Mine and the Seal Sanctuary, to name but a few are all worth a visit.

The west of Cornwall for a holiday destination offers something for everybody, for those seeking general activities or just relaxation.
