Longcroft House is a Grade II listed, early Victorian villa in one of Torquay’s most elegant residential suburbs, ‘The Lincombes’. Situated in over an acre of stunning grounds, with uninterrupted sea views, the stately Villa Longcroft the ideal holiday retreat for groups and families of up to 12!


The landscaped grounds feature gentle gravel paths, manicured sea view vistas, and picnic-beckoning lawns. The villa itself is characterised by lavish architecture and seductive ambience, whilst it’s sweeping gravel driveway provides ample parking.

Ground Floor

Once inside, guests will find themselves in an open-plan hallway finished with gorgeous wood flooring and a decadent staircase.

Floor to ceiling bay windows frame ocean views in the elegant drawing room and the entire house boasts high ceilings, character features and splendid fireplaces.

The brightly lit reception room is an ideal venue for morning coffees and afternoon teas, whilst an intimate informal sitting room begs for a roaring fire in its open hearth and a good film on the telly. The spacious dining room’s s table is complemented by a stylish marble fireplace.

A picturesque country kitchen provides plenty of space for lazy breakfasts with pretty garden views. The range cooker and 12 place table makes entertaining an irresistible prospect, whilst the coastal aspect conservatory is the perfect recluse for a coffee. Alfresco meals on the sea view terrace are incredibly popular with guests in the summer months.

There is also a WC on the ground floor.

First Floor

The grand staircase leads to luxury sleeping arrangements for up to 12 guests. Beautifully presented rooms feature original marble fireplaces, romantic antique touches, in addition to en-suite bathrooms and flat-screen TVs in the main bedrooms.

The spacious accommodation comprises two king-size en-suite bedrooms, one double bedroom with a sink and WC toilet on the landing opposite, a twin bedroom with a shower room and a further bedroom furnished with four single beds ideal for children with an en-suite. All are complemented by 3 bathrooms (2 with showers over the baths, 1 shower room en-suite, a WC on the first landing and another WC on the ground floor ensuring adequate facilities are available for all your guests.

Longcroft House has it's own game room with full size table tennis table, table football and a dartboard.


The famous blue flag Meadfoot Beach, famously known as the childhood haunt of the writer Agatha Christie, is located directly below the villa. Here guests can enjoy sunbathing, swimming and also a relaxed meal or snack at the Osborne Hotel.

A fantastic range of local attractions will also ensure guests of all ages can fully enjoy their Devon getaway; with horse riding, mountain biking in the nearby National Parks , canoeing, bird watching, surfing, sailing, wind surfing, golf, local visitor attractions and relaxing Spa days to enjoy.

Beautiful House, lovely large rooms and perfect for large groups. It is a very sociable house with gorgeous views and we enjoyed our stay very much. The bed linen and towels provided were of a lovely quality. Great base for exploring the surrounding area. It is within walking distance into town, although could be a problem for some as it is quite an hilly area. There are a couple of small items that needed a bit of TLC but this did not affect the enjoyment of our holiday.

Facilities: Infants ~ If you need the use of either a cot or high chair, we can provide you with a travel cot and/or a high chair. We only ask that you supply all the baby bedding yourselves. There is no extra charge for these facilities. We provide kitchen essentials such as tea towels, a kitchen towel roll, washing up liquid, J-cloth, scouring pad, 5 dishwasher tablets, tea & coffee. In the bathroom there will be bath towels, hand towels, a bath mat, soap and a toilet roll. During the warm summer months ‘alfresco’ lunches and dinners to the sea view terrace provides the most idyllic dinner party venue for you and your guests!
