Bathrooms: The manor has 2 large bathrooms with claw and foot baths and separate large showers. There is also a downstairs w/c.
Kitchen: There is an exquisite period kitchen with granite work tops, and an easy to use electric range cooker. Modern appliances include American fridge-freezer with ice maker and dishwasher. There is a further refrigerator, microwave, blender, toaster, etc.
Utility Room: Full laundry facilities, washing machine, tumble dryer.
Living Rooms: There are two living rooms for you to relax in and enjoy. Satellite TV, a collection of DVD's, books and board games are provided. There is an i-pod charger with speakers and broadband.
Other: Experience living in royal luxury with four poster beds, tapestries, ancient stone walls, open log fires, bread ovens and an incredible amount of original medieval features.
Cleaning/towels/

All our towels are of the highest quality and we only use designer Dorma sheets and covers on all our beds. We ensure that we provide only the highest standards and understand the discerning cliental would expect nothing less.

 

Notes on accommodation
Pets considered in some areas of the house, please enquire.
We welcome children to the manor, however due to the spiral stairs and stone floors which can be uneven we caution parents that toddlers need to be watched at all times.
A welcome package is provided for all our guests which includes Starbucks ground coffee, Earl Gray tea, and biscuits. If you would like to have shopping arranged in advance of your arrival we can accommodate this. We also provide wine, champagne, and chocolates upon request at an additional charge. We are happy to offer advice on local restaurants and can put you in touch with private caterers for that special occasion. We can recommend transport options and put you in touch with personal tour guides. If there is anything further that you need, we will do our best to help you make arrangements where possible.

Accessibility
The manor is grade II* listed and an ancient building, due to its age it can not be altered, we regret that this might hinder some people being able to enjoy it to its fullest. There are spiral stairs and some of the bedrooms are on the third story.

Outside
The gardens surround the manor on three sides with a high stone wall to the rear and enclosing the side gardens. Enjoy a barbeque in the large garden, ample seating is provided on wooden outdoor furniture. Adults and children both can have fun on the olympic quality trampoline. Our guests will delight in the private medieval garden where they can practice the art of courtly love. There is also a children's play area with a large play house.

Golf
We are walking distance to Dewstow Golf Course and only 10 minutes drive from the Celtic Manor home of the Ryder Cup in 2010.

Travel
We recommend that you travel by car.
Nearest airport is Bristol and London's Heathrow is only 1 hour & 45 minutes away.

Distances
We are located in the village of Caldicot which has a variety of shops and restaurants within walking distance.
We are close to the M4 and M5 Motor-ways and ideally placed to explore both England and Wales.
Caldicot is surrounded by historical sites with Caldicot Castle just across the village green and Caerwent Roman Town, Chepstow Castle, Caerleon Roman Fortress, Caerphilly Castle, Tredegar House, Cosmeston Medieval Village, Cardiff Castle, Tintern Abbey, Raglan Castle etc...
