Owner profile
About the owner
We live in Pembrokeshire and have three boys
two of which now work. I run my own carpet/furniture retailing business and just for a bit of diversity also a car rental agency for Hertz.
i have lived in Pembrokeshire since 1975 when my parents retired to Pembrokeshire.
Year purchased: 1993
Why the owner chose a home in this location
We bought this property to live in our selves, but before we started to renovate it the larger property next door came up for sale a few years later. So, we renovated the cottage next door and moved into it in September 1997. We then spent several years improving the grounds, we have over six acres now.
then in 2005 we completed the renovation of the smaller cottage carrying out most of the work ourselves.
we opened up the down stairs into a lounge and dinning area whilst the kitchen is at the rear which then leads onto the enclosed garden.
Unique benefits of the property
As we live next door i would have to say that the joy of living in Pembrokeshire is that we are on holiday as soon as we finish work ,and we have a mini break every weekend.
Pembrokeshire is renowned for its beauty, the 164 miles of the only true marine national park coast path.
Blue flag beaches, many of which you can find empty even in the height of the summer. Pembrokeshire is blessed with some of the cleanest air in Britain. The southwest wind blows off some 3000 miles of empty Atlantic ocean!
Even in the winter a walk across a wind swept beach like Newgale is a joy and makes your Dinner taste all that much nicer.
A stay in our cottage is pleasant what ever the weather!
