This apartment is very conveniently located for either the quiet, get away or for those who like swimming, fishing, horse riding, theme parks, walking, etc, and is at the gateway to the famous Pembrokeshire Coastal path. There are many local places of interest, such as the National Botanic Garden of Wales, the medieval township of Laugharne, where Dylan Thomas was born, Tenby, Saundersfoot and Merlins ancient town of Carmarthen. Internal steps with intercom security, lead up to the apartment from the private, off-road parking area. The lounge/dining/fully equipped kitchen leads on to the balcony with its breathtaking views over Carmarthen bay and the Gower Coastline beyond. This particular region of Wales has a lot to offer the discerning tourist. Outstanding scenery and walks around the coastline; a wealth of history, including castles, museums, ancient churches, cathedral and towns. A host of beaches and breath-taking panoramic views. Activity centres, parks, beaches, etc.

Saturdays are the preferred changeover days.

Accommodation
Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 with double bed has bedside cabinets, tall boy and wardrobe with occasional chair and room heater. It also has a luggage rack for unpacking or storage of case. Bedroom 2 with twin beds is also equipped the same as bedroom 1.
Bathrooms: The bathroom has a bath with power shower over, wc and wash basin and heated towel rail. It also incorporates an airing cupboard with immersion heaters for hot water.
Kitchen: The kitchen area is modern and well equipped with electric ceramic hob with cooker hood over, oven, microwave oven/grill, fridge, freezer, washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, toaster, iron and ironing board and airer and a fan if the going gets too hot.
Living Rooms: The lounge/dining area has a digital freeview TV, DVD, CD player and separate digital radio. Two settees and coffee table and dining table and chairs and coat stand.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service:
All linen is provided and two hand and tea towels. Other towels are not supplied, only on request and the property is cleaned and linen changed every week.

Notes on accommodation
At the covered entrance to this select block of six apartments, there is also a lockable, separate shower room and wash hand basin, with heated towel rail, for use of all the residents in this block, in case they want to shower off sand and sea water, before entering their apartment. The apartment is heated by night storage heaters, when required and is suitable for children under supervision.

Accessibility
This is a penthouse apartment, situated on the second floor with no lift, only stairways. Therefore it is not really suitable for people with mobility problems.

Coast/Beach
This apartment is situated opposite the famous sands at Pendine, where land speed records were attempted and held, due to its 7 mile stretch of sand. The beach has European 'Blue flag' status and is safe for swimming and a lifeguard is present on the beach during the summer months.

Travel
The nearest airport is Cardiff, which is approximately 50km away and the nearest railway is at Carmarthen. Ferries are also available at Swansea, Pembroke and Fishguard, which are approximately 20km away. A car is recommended but there is a good bus service to Carmarthen and Tenby via the coastal routes.

Distances
This apartment is conveniently located to all places of interest in West Wales and is only a maximum of 30 minutes drive to most of them.

Further details
Pendine is a non-commercialised coastal village with the usual food store, post office, pubs, gift shop, takeaway and restaurants. The Museum of Speed at Pendine houses the famous 'Babs' land speed car, which came to a 'sticky' ending, when driven by Parry-Thomas, who tried to beat Campbell's land speed record, which took place at Pendine. Morfa Bay activity centre is only a short distance away, less than a mile and of course, Dylan Thomas's Boat House is only a few miles away.

Booking notes
Weekly tenancy preferred with occupancy after 3pm on arrival and by 10am on departure, to provide for cleaning, etc.However, 3 nights or more considered, depending on time of year and season. Booking more than 6 weeks in advance, requires a deposit of 25% and payment in full is required 6 weeks before occupancy, along with a refundable deposit of £100, which will be returned within 10 days of departure, providing everything is OK.
