Once linked to Chirk Castle and serving as a coaching inn. This 450 year old cottage makes a delightful holiday home which is steeped in history, many of the timbers were originally part of a old ship. Fully modernised for your comfort but retaining many original features including inglenook fire, oakwood panelling and a wealth of beams There is a patio and large enclosed garden. The property is located just outside Chirk which has a National Trust castle. In the opposite direction is Llangollen, one of Wales' top tourist areas, famous for the Eisteddfod, steam railway and horse drawn canal trips. There are many activities such as canoeing, canal day boat hire and white water rafting also plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants. The nearest bar to the cottage is Chirk Golf Club which is open to non members (1/4 mile). Llangollen golf club is 2 miles away.
