Further details
Milford Haven was developed in the late 18th Century, Milford Haven by Quakers from Nantucket as a whaling port. Later described by Lord Nelson in 1802 as being "one of the finest harbours seen" it developed in the early part of the 20th Century as an important base for the fishing industry. The old harbour was featured regularly in the 70's Onedin Line T.V show and later the hosted the start of the 1991 Tall Ships Race.

Now it is an expanding marina with over 200 berths whilst still being used by trawlers.

The Marina features restaurants, bars, a gallery, museum and ten pin bowling. Within an easy stroll of the apartment is a retail park which includes Tescos, Boots and the town's railway station. Within the town itself are a variety of shops, banks, a sports centre with swimming pool and the award winning Torch Theatre.

About the owner
We have been in the holiday letting business for more than 30 years. We developed and ran an award winning rural holiday cottage complex in Pembrokeshire, West Wales before "slimming down" recently to let just a couple of properties in Pembrokeshire. We also let our villas in Lanzarote (our favourite holiday location when we are not enjoying the delights of Pembrokeshire). We take a lot of care to ensure that standards are kept high and that everything is just as you would expect it to be. We also try to keep our prices as low as possible and always offer a discount where there are just two people staying. Many of our visitors return year on year. We are sure that once you have stayed in our properties you too will want to return!

Why the owner chose an apartment in this location
The Old Docks at Milford Haven were transformed into a modern marina in time for the Tall Ships Race in 1991. Since then there has been a steady development of the facilities which now include some excellent bars, restaurants and shops. Milford Haven is at the half-way mark centre of the 180 mile Pembrokeshire National Park Coastal Path. Starting in the North at Cardigan and finishing just short of Pendine in Carmarthenshire - its a magnificent area of wild cliffs, long sandy beaches and popular resorts. From your base in Smoke House Quay you can branch out each day to explore a different area within an easy drive.

Unique benefits of the property
The Smoke House Quay Apartments just along the quay from the Marina basin is a really super development. Each apartment enjoys view across the magnificent Haven Waterway which is busy with leisure boating and commercial shipping all year round. Forget train-spotting, instead take up ship-spotting from the comfort of your sofa. There is a waterway view from every room - the twin bedroom even has a unique "porthole" window. Take a drink onto the balcony and keep up with in the maritime action!
