This lovely semi-detached cottage with it's cosy Aga in the kitchen and open fire in the living room is as cosy in winter as it is cool and inviting in summer. Situated in the heart of Porthgain fishing village, the house sits in the sun from midmorning to sunset. Situated within 100 yards of the coastal path, two art galleries, the Sloop Inn and the Shed fish restaurant. 6 miles from St Davids and 8 miles from Fishguard. Minutes drive from many beautiful Pembrokeshire beaches.

Beautiful Traethllyfn with walking only access is approx 15 minutes walk, Whitesands beach with parking on beachfront wonderful for families and for surfing. Many small beaches within close proximity
Golf
Golf courses available at St David's6 miles. Priskilly Golf Club, Castlemorris 6 miles. Haverfordwest Golf Club 20 miles. Newport Golf Club 20 miles.
Travel
20 minutes drive from Fishguard harbour with it's ferry to Ireland. Train stations at Haverfordwest 25 minutes drive) or Fishguard 20 minutes drive. Coastal buses run between villages along the coastal path for walkers. Car recommended.

6 miles from St David's with it's beautiful Cathedral and shops,
2 miles from nearest village shop and 3 miles from petrol station.
Further details
Many excellent restaurants within 20 minute drive (2 within 1 minute walk from cottage!). Excellent water based activities within the area, and of course wonderful walking along the Coastal path.

We've had a totally brilliant week with this fantastic house being an ideal base. Thank you for letting us stay in your home and making it a real home-from-home, as we've lacked for nothing. It's been a joy to get away from PC's, mobiles (no reception), and noise and appreciate that there are still villages like Porthgain where people can leave their doors open and go off for a walk without worrying about burglars, joy riders and opportunist thieves. What a lovely house! So well equipped, furnished and full of lovely artwork of the area. We have enjoyed our stay here and wish we could stay longer in the house, village and area. We will be back in the future, hopefully for longer. B July 08
