The large Bunkhouse has been beautifully restored with a wealth of ancient beams, arrow slit windows and rustic terracotta floors. Originally stables and a hay barn, it now combines a wonderful living space with indoor recreation facilities. The games room at the far end of the building has table tennis, a small snooker table as well as a TV, DVD and video. The barn has extensive grounds with land going down to the river. We are ideally based for an activity break with a range of activity providers who can offer exhilarating and fun experiences for all abilities. We also have an all weather tennis court and pavilion on site and are perfectly located close to walking routes. Glynmeddig is also well suited for team building and management training courses as well as for school, college or youth groups.

Further details
Glynmeddig is a perfect venue for a holiday or weekend away. If you do not want to drive you need never leave the valley as there is a games room and tennis court on site and the village pub is within walking distance. We have 3 walks mapped from the bunkhouse door, these can be shortened or combined depending on how energetic you are feeling. Two of the walks incorporate the pub!
Apart from walking on the glorious Brecon Beacons there are the Carmarthen Fan's just to our west and the newly opened Epypt Way just to the north of us, allows people to walk over extraordinary common land that has been inaccessible since the 1950s when the MOD compulsorily took it over. For those looking for a more gentle stroll there is the charming tow path along the Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal with many pubs to be visited along the way!
This is a stunningly beautiful area and is far less commercialised than most National Parks in the UK. There are numerous sites of interest and fun things to do for all the family as well as for those with particular interests such as history, gardening, steam railways, canals and bird watching. There are a range of different licensed activity providers in the area who can be booked for an exhilarating day in or on the water, on horseback, on mountain bikes or on a rock face. Ask for more information!
