This is the perfect location to explore the grandeur of North Wales. The farmhouse accommodates 12 people and the barn cottages are for 2, 4, and 6 people respectively. The whole property would be ideal for that special occasion, such as a wedding, birthday or anniversary, or indeed, a corporate event when you could bring together your guests in one fabulous venue, all in luxurious and breathtakingly beautiful surroundings. We have space for a marquee seating up to 120 people. There is parking at the farm and secure storage for cycles. Created from the original farm granary, the beamed open plan kitchen/dining room/sitting room is on the 1st floor and has a door onto a small balcony with garden furniture. As you would expect in 5* accommodation, Y Granar is luxuriously equipped with 21st century appliances whilst retaining a truly original atmosphere with its huge beams and tongue and groove doors. These include a Shaker style kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine and fridge freezer. Your romantic king size bedroom and bathroom with power shower is on the ground floor and fabulous linen, towels and heating are included. This delightfully cosy cottage is true to its name - the Hideaway in English. From the hallway, a door leads into the comfortable dining room/snug including single sofa bed, which in turn leads into a shaker style kitchen with a farmhouse feel, but 21st century equipment to include dishwasher, washing machine and fridge freezer. There is digital TV with DVD player and a CD player/radio for your use. Both rooms overlook the delightful communal garden and the Upper Dee Valley and your own private patio. On the first floor, there is a romantic double bedroom, a bathroom with power shower over the bath and an additional day room/sitting room with a glorious view from your Juliet balcony. This room also has a 4' sofa bed so that it can easily convert into another double bedroom if required. Take advantage of the numerous on site facilities to include secure bike storage, games room with table tennis, snooker, pool, table football and darts and also private fishing. |

Notes on accommodation
Farmhouse and all cottages apart from Y Gilfach have oil central heating. Y Gilfach has electric storage heaters. The farmhouse has a wood burning stove and also an AGA which is switched on from the end of October until March. All the cottages have an electric wood burning stove. In total there are 5 cottages and 1 farmhouse.
There are unfenced ponds within the 12 acres and parents of toddlers should be vigilant.With this in mind, Bryn Melyn is a fabulous venue for old and young, for relaxing or for that activity filled holiday with watersports such as kayaking, canoeing and sailing in Bala, white water rafting in Tryweryn, the Get Wet Centre within half a mile offering paint balling and high ropes. There is an abundance of cycling routes including the national centre at Coed y Brenin. It is a walkers paradise and as there is a drying room on site, you need never worry about getting wet!
Accessibility
Although the property has not been specially adapted for the disabled, access is possible to a number of the cottages and the farmhouse. Please enquire.
Outside
The farmhouse has its own glorious private landscaped garden. The cottages have a stunning communal garden with an incredible view. There is plenty of garden furniture to take advantage of your stunning location and gas BBQ with the farmhouse and bucket BBQs available on request in the cottages. There are unfenced ponds and a stream on the property and caution should be exercised with young children.
Coast/Beach
Blue flag beach within 45 mins at Barmouth. Other beaches include Black Rock sands at Portmadoc.
Golf
Bala 5 miles. Harlech 45 mins. Aberdyfi 1 hour.
Travel
A car is recommended although a bus can be halted outside the property on the B4401.
