Orchard Cottage is situated in the rural location of Penterry, a peaceful Wye Valley hamlet steeped in history, yet within 10 mins drive of the M4. A hidden sanctuary enjoying glorious, far reaching views towards the Black Mountains from its prominent hillside position, and being an AONB gives easy access to lovely footpaths and bridleways providing a haven for walkers and birdwatchers. Recently renovated to a high standard the cottage is extremely comfortable and creates a perfect setting from which to discover the fascinating heritage of this beautiful border countryside. The attractive historic town of Chepstow is 4 miles away boasting one of the oldest stone built castles in Britain. Tintern Abbey is 2 miles away, and further up the river Wye is the interesting border market town of Monmouth and the Royal Forest of Dean. Many award winning restaurants and pubs are nearby and two first class golf courses within easy reach, St Pierre (10 mins) and Celtic Manor (25 mins).

Changeover day
There is no fixed changeover day. Unless otherwise arranged guests may arrive from 4.00pm, and leave by 10.00am on day of departure.

| Bedrooms: | Main luxury bedroom with en-suite bathroom is beautifully yet simply decorated. The luxury bed (either a Super King double or luxury twin) has a goose feather and down topper and is made up with Egyptian cotton sheets. You sleep under a goose down duvet. |
| Bathrooms: | The new luxury contemporary bathroom with unlimited hot water has a super steel bath, shower over bath with curved glass screen, lavatory and basin. |
| Kitchen: | New solid timber fronted oak kitchen with 'Capri' moulded worktop features a built in Bosch convection / microwave oven, Bosch integral dishwasher and halogen hob. There is also an integral fridge with small freezer compartment. |
| Utility Room: | A washing machine and tumble dryer are available. |
| Living Rooms: | The cosy living room which is open plan with the kitchen and dining area features a beautifully restored original fireplace with wood burning stove, comfortable sofa and chairs, TV, DVD and radio |
| Other: | The dining room is open plan with the living room and has seating for 4. The feeling of space in the living area is refreshing. The dining area opens through French windows onto the patio. |

All linen and towels are included. The property is cleaned prior to the arrival of guests. Fresh linen is provided once a week. |

A car is necessary. Orchard Cottage is 7 miles from the M4. 2.5 hours from London. The nearest mainline station is Bristol Parkway. Bristol international airport is 50 minutes away.
Distances
Chepstow with its famous medieval castle is 4 miles away. Tintern with its Cistercian Abbey is 2 miles. The nearest shop is in St Arvans, 1.5 miles away.
Booking notes
A deposit of 20% is required at the time of booking. The balance is due 6 weeks prior to arrival.
