Notes on accommodation
Heating available in winter through the air-conditioning system. For the protection of children, there is a removable pool guard. Extras include: Selection of board games, DVDs, pool inflatables and a comprehensive file of local information and places to visit. Strictly no smoking and no pets.
Accessibility
Being a single storey building, Lemon Bay House is suitable for those with mobility problems, although there are steps to get in and out of the house.

Coast/Beach
The Gulf Coast is blessed with truly stunning beaches. Englewood beach is only a 15 minute drive, and is known for its shells and sharks teeth. Siesta Key to the north has powder white sand. Gulf Coast sunsets can be stunning! The waters are ideal for swimming - warm and generally calm. The area is a haven for fishing, both deep sea and coastal with many places offering equipment, boat rental and fishing trips. Water sports are also widely available.
Golf
The Gulf Coast provides countless opportunities for golfers of all standards. There are 5 golf courses in the Rotonda community itself, and many more within 20 miles of the villa. These range from championship quality private and semi private courses to public courses operating pay and play.
Travel
Tampa International is the airport of choice for UK visitors, being 1.5 hours away. Orlando International is 2.5 hours; Orlando Sandford is 3.75 hours; Miami is 3.5 hours. Sarasota and Fort Myers airports are 60 minutes away and good for US visitors, but are not major international airports. As for nearly everywhere in the States, car hire is essential.
Distances
This part of Florida is an ideal base for day trips to explore the many local attractions. The Everglades are just 2 hours drive to the south. Tampa Bay with Busch Gardens (our personal favourite park) is 90 minutes drive to the north. Disney, Universal Studios and Sea World in Central Florida are only 2.5 hours drive away.
Further details
As you would expect, the range of shopping opportunities is typically extensive. The large mall at Murdoch Circle is only 20 minutes away and factory outlet centers at Ellenton and Fort Myers are about 1 hour away. For everyday groceries and goods, there is a large Walmart a few minutes away on the 776 which stocks every imaginable item and is always open. Opposite is a Walgreens Pharmacy. There are plenty of good local restaurants in the Rotonda and Engelwood beach areas, and some larger burger/steakhouse/taco chains in Murdoch Circle.
Booking notes
A booking deposit of 20% is required. The remaining 80% is required 60 days before arrival date, with a security deposit of £200. The management company will check the house on departure, and providing no damage has occurred, the security deposit will be fully refunded. Payment is acceptable UK Sterling or US Dollars by Bank Transfer or by personal cheque. Please e-mail for further information.
