Your holiday home is set in very tranquil surroundings, but within a 5-15 minute drive to everything you may require to enjoy a tropical sunshine holiday. Lush fairways and rolling greens for the golfer, some of the best deep sea fishing in the world, scuba diving, boat rentals, miles of unspoilt sandy beaches, glorious sunsets, sightseeing cruises, nature parks, free tennis, biking and walking trails, amazing shopping and casual dining. Or just relax, do nothing, laze by your own swimming pool all day & throw some steaks on the gas BBQ/grill in the evening. There is one man's & one lady's set of golf clubs available for guest's use.

Notes on accommodation
The villa is tiled throughout except for the bedrooms which are carpeted. All rooms are fully air conditioned (or centrally heated if necessary). Everything for your enjoyment inside and out was newly purchased in 2008. Just bring some summer clothes, sandals, swimming costume, and toothbrush - everything else is here for you. Please note, the villa is not suitable for very young children and is a non-smoking home please.
Outside
Relax in seclusion with a book and drink on comfortable loungers next to your own 12' x 24' screened pool, electrically heated if necessary. The high-tech purification system ensures soft, silky water with no chlorine side effects. The pool and deck are in sunshine all day, as is the lawned garden, and the fan cooled lanai is always in shade so there is somewhere to escape the hot sun when required, and to be able to dine in comfort. Enjoy sunbathing, swimming, dining, or just sitting under the stars after dark, free from the nuisance of flying insects. You will be able to take all meals outside, with nighttime lighting from the pool, a standard lamp or overhead lighting on the lanaii, and there is a gas BBQ/grill for the outdoor chef. A professional pool cleaning service takes place once a week.
Coast/Beach
The beautiful white beaches and crystal clear warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico are a 20 minute drive away, all reached by causeway over Lemon Bay. To the south, the beaches of sleepy Boca Grande on Gasparilla Island. To the west, Englewood beach, Blind Pass beach and Manasota beach on Manasota Key. Search for shells, watch Pelicans diving into the sea and enjoy glorious sunsets. 6 beach chairs, two beach umbrella's, cool box and freezer blocks are available for your use.
Golf
High handicapper or semi-pro, world class golf courses abound. Play golf 12 months of the year. With nearly 100 courses in Sarasota County & over 60 in Charlotte County, there is a course for every level, most open to the public at affordable fees. Within a 5 minute drive are the following public courses, Long Marsh 18 holes, Pinemoor East 9 holes, Pinemoor West 18 holes, Rotonda Golf & Country Club 54 holes. There are 12 more courses within a twenty minute drive. Winter is the busiest time, tee times need to be booked. Summer is quieter, hotter & more humid, so an early start is recommended.
Travel
Tampa airport is a one hour forty minute drive away. Orlando airport two & a half hours, Sanford airport three hours and Fort Myers airport a 45 minute drive. Car hire essential.
Distances
Venice, Casey Key, Siesta key, Lido Key, Longboat Key and Sarasota are between 30 minutes and an hour's drive north. Between 30 minutes and one and a half hour's drive south are Punta Gorda, Fort Myers, Sanibel Island, Captiva Island and Naples. Busch Gardens Theme Park is one hour forty five minutes away. The Disney Parks and Universal Studios two and a half hours away in Orlando.
Further details
There are 3 supermarkets and a number of banks within a 5 minute drive (also a doctor & walk in clinic). Air conditioned Port Charlotte Mall with 5 department stores, more than 80 individual shops, restaurants, and a 12 screen cinema, is a fifteen minute drive away. Two outdoor Factory Outlet Malls with designer stores giving up to 70% discount are each one hour away. Whatever your taste, fresh fish, shrimp, steak, ribs, burgers, creole, italian, mexican, vegetarian, indoors, outdoors, or waterfront, casual dining is the style. There are also 6 free to use tennis courts, 4 floodlit, within a 5 minute drive.
Booking notes
Book direct with owners. A 20% deposit is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance will be due 8 weeks before your holiday commencement date, together with a returnable deposit cheque to be held against breakages, damage etc.
