Location! Location! Location! You will never get tired of the sunsets, or sitting on such a magnificent beach watching the dolphins. Siesta Key is an island on the west coast of Florida, on the Gulf of Mexico, and is renowned worldwide for having the whitest and finest sand. It is the place for a relaxing holiday. It is linked to the mainland by 2 bridges. The north bridge takes you to Sarasota, about 10 mins. by car. We are located between the two bridges, opposite the beach, and near Siesta Village, with it's own special shops. Tampa airport is approx. 70 mins drive and Sarasota airport is 20 mins. drive. Disney attractions are approx 2 hrs. Our guests will appreciate the quality and variety of water sports, dining out, golf, shopping and of course culture in the locality. Each unit has covered parking - visitors parking is also available. The apartment is on the ground floor, in a secure family-orientated community, and is looking onto gardens and a boat canal.

Changeover day
Saturday is the changeover day from 1st Jan - 30 April - flexible other times of year.

Linen, Beach towels, Bathroom towels are provided. Property is cleaned, towels and linen are changed for each new guest before arrival. Extra service can be provided for an additional fee. |

Accessibility
It is on the ground floor with easy access but has not been equipped for handicapped.
Outside
There is a gas/electric BBQ grill. An outdoor heated communal pool. Beautiful grounds with seats by boat canal - you can sit and watch the fish jump or, read a book. Pool area has sun loungers, tables, shower, saunas, restrooms, patio areas with tables and chairs.
Coast/Beach
The beach is 5 mins by foot from the complex. Beach access is directly opposite the complex (150 yds approx) down a leafy path - you do not need to use your car or worry about parking! The beaches here are world-renowned. They are also the island's centre of social activity - beach volley ball, weddings, walking, cycling or jogging with friends, or just sitting watching the dolphins swim by. The sand is made of quartz which is pulverised into a fine powder and is cool to the touch.
Golf
There are at least 60 golf courses within a 20 mile radius of Siesta Key and I have played most of them! Anything you need to know about golf - I can help.
Travel
Airports: Tampa is approx. 70 min drive. Sarasota is a 20 min drive. Car hire is recommended but not essential if you are only a beach person. If you fly into Sarasota I can recommend a local agent - not as costly as the well-known cos. Nearest motorway - I-75 is 4 miles away.
Distances
10 mins to downtown Sarasota. Siesta Village - 5 mins in a car. Orlando - Disney attractions - 2 hours by car. We are 1 hour from Ft. Myers, 2 hours from Naples, 3 hours from Miami.
However, the most important distance is 5 mins walk to the white sands of Siesta beach and the warm water of the Gulf.
Further details
I have a handbook for guests which has all the info you need regarding shops, banks, restaurants, supermarkets etc. It also contains personal recommendations for places to eat. Other leisure activities could include: Myakka State Park, Spanish Point, Oscar Scherer State Park, Home of Thomas Eddison, Ringling Museum of Art, Van Weisel Theatre, Golden Apple Dinner Theatre, fishing, boat charters, boat trips, tennis (across the street), parasailing, jet skiing, surfing, diving, theatre, museums, cinemas - I could go on forever - suffice to say that you will never be bored from lack of activities! The Social Committee organises Ladies' lunches, bridge evenings and social outings. There are also coffee mornings from time to time for socialising with other guests.
Booking notes
$300 booking deposit required (within 5 - 7 days) to hold the specified dates and to confirm the reservation. Balance of payment is due 8 weeks prior to arrival. The $300 security deposit is returned after departure, less damages. A 60 day cancellation notice is required prior to the arrival date to assure a refund. Rates subject to 11% FL state/local tax and Cleaning Fee of $80. Monthly rates include a discount. Note: until confirmed, rates are subject to change without notice.

We really enjoyed our time in Siesta Key. The apartment is light, airy and spacious and is in a brilliant position which means you can walk to the beach and to siesta key village itself. The beach is fantastic and there is a park across the road which is great for kids! Its also a great location for visiting Sarasota, and Anna Maria Island which is further up the coast.
