Pelican House is an exceptional, beautifully appointed & spacious villa. Sleeps 8/10 people in comfort and luxury. Accommodation includes 2 master bedrooms with luxury en-suite bathrooms. Both master bedrooms open to the pool deck. A 3rd bedroom includes a queen sized double bed & the 4th bedroom is a twin. A sofa bed in the den provides for extra sleeping if needed & also offers easy access to the pool shower room & the pool itself. The main lounge area is spacious & airy with adjacent separate breakfast and dining areas. The kitchen has all the equipment and utensils you would expect. To the rear of the property is the 25ft solar heated pool & hot tub and spacious pool deck with patio furniture, sun loungers, child safety guard around the pool, gas BBQ and comes with 4 bicycles (2 adult 2 child) to allow you to explore the local area. Ninendo Wii. The villa is fully air conditioned throughout with ceiling fans in most rooms. Boat ramp & tennis courts less than 5 mins away.

Notes on prices
Prices are for the property per week in UK pounds sterling and include all charges and US taxes. Hot-tub heating, if required, is £50 per week. Additional discounts available for bookings of 3 weeks or longer. Villa newly available - please contact for special offers.
Changeover day
Saturday change over preferred however we can be flexible on this. Departure by 10am. Arrival after 4pm to allow cleaning and preparation on changeover days.

Accessibility
The property is single story. There is a slight step up to the front door. Otherwise access to all the rooms, bath rooms, bedrooms etc is on the same level. Note there are walk-in shower rooms in both of the master bedrooms.
Outside
The greatest joy of Pelican House is the ability to sit out on the lanai/terrace in total privacy without being overlooked and with complete use of your own 25ft pool and hot tub which can be electrically heated for an additional charge.
There are a selection of pool toys provided. There is also a large dining table with 8 chairs as well as sun loungers to relax on by the pool. A gas BBQ is also provided for your enjoyment.
There is a child safety screen around the pool area. The pool itself is very private and not overlooked. The hot-tub can be electrically heated for an additional charge.
Coast/Beach
The world renowned beaches of the Gulf of Mexico are as little as a 10 minute drive from Pelican House. With the warm calm waters of the Gulf lapping in your toes you can idle your days collecting shells or watching the dolphins, pelicans and other local wildlife. No trip to the Gulf is complete without exploring the many islands, inlets and keys that dot the coastline. You can take an organised trip, rent your own boat or take a relaxed paddle in a canoe and the fishing is second to none.
Golf
Recently ranked by golf digest as the 3rd best place in America to live and play golf - charlotte harbour and the Gulf Coast has plenty to offer keen golfers. For international flights - Tampa is only 1½ hour away. Orlando is 2½ hours. Miami is 3½ hours. For Domestic Flights - Fort Myers (SWFI) airport is 45 minutes. Car rental is essential.

Nearest supermarket, gas station for groceries and supplies 3 mins / 2 miles by car. Beaches 10 mins /9 miles. Port Charlotte - nearest main town with malls, department stores, chain restaurants 15 mins / 11 miles. Nearest golf course - Long Meadow Golf Course 5 mins / 4 miles. Venice 20 mins. Sarasota 30 mins. Tampa 1½ hour. Orlando 2½ hours. Miami 3 hours.
Further details
There are an abundance of attractions including the famous white sandy beaches lapped by the gentle warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico easily accessible, being just a 10 minute drive yet are quiet and unspoilt, attracting a multitude of wildlife including dolphins, turtles and many different species of birds.
In South Gulf Cove itself you have the particular convenience of the Community Boat Ramp. This is 2 or 3 minutes from Pelican House and allows public access to the many canals that lead to the Gulf waters.
Also less than 5 minutes from the Villa is the Rotonda Community Park which offer facilities such as a BBQ area, cycle path and Tennis Courts.
There is excellent fishing all along the coast with the world Tarpon championships being held just down the road at Boca Grande. Charlotte Harbour is one of ‘Sail’ magazines '10 Greatest Places to Sail' and first class boating is available throughout the area. You can also explore waterways by canoe and cycle the many nature trails. Tampa is less than 2hrs drive and Orlando and Miami less than 3hrs.
Within a few minutes drive you can enjoy the best of Floridian dining too.
Our favourites include the casual dining of ‘The Fishery’ which is just up the road at Placida and the more formal but delightful 'Palmetto Grill' a few minutes further on at Cape Haze, and for the more adventurous of you. Why not rent a boat and head out to the Cabbage Key Inn, only accessible by sea. We'd recommend the shrimp washed down with a cocktail or cold beer. When you leave pin a dollar to the bar wall (if you can find room) as the fishermen used to do in times past.
Booking notes
A 20% deposit required at time of booking. Full payment must be made 10 weeks before rental date. If booking made within 10 weeks of rental start date then full booking fee is required. There is an additional charge of UK£50 per week if the optional electric heating is required for hot tub. A returnable security deposit of £200 is required, to be paid with balance of the rental.
