Welcome to our 'home-from-home', as some of our guests have christened it. Chatham Park is ideal for family holidays and has a kiddies park and communal pool. It is also within easy reach of all attractions. Our house consists of one master bedroom and en-suite on the ground floor and 3 twin bedrooms, including a children’s Disney themed room, on the first floor. There is a bathroom on the first floor and also a WC just off the living room. It has everything you will need for your holiday including a computer with broadband. We stayed in villas in Kissimmee for 30 years, we decided the time had come to buy our own. With so much experience in renting we knew exactly what guests would be needing. We love our home in the sunshine state and you will too. It is furnished to a high standard with comfort and family living in mind. Pool heating is optional at a cost of £12 per day. We have an excellent management company who are on call should you need anything, and look after our home for us.

Utility Room: Washer, dryer, iron, ironing board, bicycles, pushchairs, chairs, bags and cooler box for those trips to the beach.
Living Rooms: Open plan lounge, dining area and family room. Lounge and family room having matching sofas, chairs and coffee tables.
Living room also has a large entertainment unit with satellite TV with 150 channels plus a selection of DVDs, CDs, books and games.
Other: A large double garage houses the washer and tumble dryer.
Also in there are 2 bicycles and 2 strollers (buggies) and a pram for your use. Iron and ironing board. In the family room you will find a computer with wifi.

All towels and linen included, including beach towels for pool use. The villa is cleaned after guests have left, which is by 11am on day of departure.

Notes on accommodation
The villa is fully air conditioned and most rooms have ceiling fans, including the garage above the washer and dryer.
Entrance/exit to the pool area is via the kitchen where you will find all the beach towels you need. Our management company company can supply highchairs and child car seats at no extra cost. This is subject to availability. They also have a babysitting service but this is not free, unfortunately.

Outside
The pool area has a glass topped table and 4 swivel chairs
in the lanai and another table and 4 chairs outside this area in the open. There are 5 sun loungers with padded cushions and a large toy box full of pool toys. The pool heating is optional at £12 per day.

Coast/Beach
We are approximately one hour from the east coast (cocoa beach) and one and a half hours from the West Coast (St Petes, Clearwater)
We have a guide in the villa giving directions and times to various places of interest and also where to go and where to eat etc. Some of our guests leave their input on this too in our visitors book.

Golf
There are numerous excellent golf courses in around the Kissimmee area so you are never very far away from this facility. Our guests who come on golfing holidays highly recommend these.

Special interest holidays
In Orlando you can do any number of things. It is not just about the parks, it has facilities and leisure activities to suit every age and taste.

Travel
The villa is 43 miles from Sanford Airport and 18 miles form Orlando Airport. It is very close to all the theme parks with Disneyworld just over 5 miles away and 192, which is the main road through Kissimmee, only half a mile away.

Distances
We are between mile markers 13 & 14 on highway 192. Turn right into Siesta Lago and Chatham Park is approx half a mile away.

Further details
We are 1/4 mile from the 192 which is the main road through Kissimmee. You will find Restaurants such as Dennys, Steak houses, Golden Corral etc etc on this road as well as shops such as WalMarty, Target, KMart, Ross etc and also numerous pubs both English and American. Five miles from our house at the top of the 192 is Disneyworld.

We have number of regular guests who stay at our villa every year. One particular family stay for 3/4 weeks every summer and have done for the past 9 years.

Owner profile


About the owner
We are both retired now, having taken early retirement to enjoy our vacation home in the sunshine state and also see more of our three grandchildren. We live in Northumberland, on the North East Coast of England, which is one of the reasons we need to keep popping across the Atlantic for some badly needed sunshine. We really enjoy getting to know the people who stay in our villa (via this website) a lot of them remain friends, as they repeat their booking every year. We hope you too will join our elite band of guests and you will see why they do so. We visit our villa at quieter times, inbetween bookings, so we do still make the most of it for family holidays. Our grandchildren love it too, especially their Disney bedroom and the pool and we also enjoy taking our friends with us.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
We bought our house after having visited this part of Florida at least twice a year for more than 30 years. We love the place so much and rented Villas whenever we could. Our favourite location was Chatham Park. We first saw this house, when we rented it to take our daughter in law and two eldest grandchildren on their first Disneyworld holiday. As soon as we walked in it felt like home. Six weeks later it was ours. Since then we have made it into a "home" as we feel so many of the villas for rent are fairly basic. We did not want that for our villa and we also felt that our guests deserved better. Orlando is a dream vacation and the accommodation you choose should also fit nicely into this category. You will find everything in our house that you would find in your own home.

Unique benefits of the property
Chatham Park, is an ideal location. It is a quiet, mainly residential estate, yet you are minutes away from the hustle and bustle of Disneyworld. We are situated quarter of a mile off the 192, which is the main road running through Kissimmee, and leads to Disney. Shops, restaurants, pubs, country walks, golf clubs even jet skiing are all minutes away from the comfort of your/our front door. We have Wal Mart (hypermarket) 2 miles door to door in each direction and even a McDonalds at the end of the road past our estate.
