Changeover day
We are very flexible with the length of rental days and of the change over dates, except at Easter and the Christmas/New Periods. We are normally happy to take any bookings over 2 nights. However, sometimes there may be a small surcharge.

Notes on accommodation
All doors and windows that lead to the pool area have an independent alarm system, to warn you if the kids try and get to the outside or the pool/spa without your knowledge.
We have a local management company who live locally, to assist you anytime you may need them, 24/7.
Extras you may need:
Hire of cots or cribs $75 per week. Inc all linen.
High Chairs $45 per week.
BBQ/gas grill $75 per week. Inc cleaning and gas.
Pool & spa heaters $200 per week + tax.
Free use of our high speed wireless internet. All local telephone calls are also free, including internet connections.
Any calls made other than local will be charged to the Security deposit.
Accessibility
This villa was constructed with people that have some mobility problems in mind. All on the ground floor with large doors and open entrances, small steps and walk-in Showers that can take small wheelchairs.
Outside
There is a 30x13ft heated pool with a separately heated spa/hot tub that seats 8. The rear of this villa faces south and has the sun all day.
We provide 4 sun loungers with side tables, an outside table & chairs to seat 6.
The covered lanai is 30x10ft and the sun deck is over 30ft. the whole rear of this villa is fully caged and is not over looked.
There is a 50x6ft private boat dock. Great fishing can be had from this dock and then the fun of cooking the 'catch of the day' on the villa bbq/gas grill? so, how good is dad at this?
Boat hire: We have an arrangement with a local boat yard, and can arrange your boat hire for you at very good discounted rates.
Car hire: We are agents for Dollar Car Rentals. We can arrange any car, at any airport for you, also at very good discounted rates.
Coast/Beach
You will be very close to our 9 wonderful local 'sugar sand' beaches which are all within a 20 minute drive. They are some of the best shelling and shark tooth collecting spots along the South Gulf Coast. The Gulf waters are very clean and safe for swimming. They are controlled/patrolled regularly by the state nature watch officers. All have Toilets, Changing rooms and BBQ/Picnic areas. Parking is just $2 per day on most beaches. We provide FOC a full range of Salt & Fresh water fishing gear!

There are 20+ Golf courses within a 20-60 minute drive, including a floodlit, 24 hour course just 6 miles away, all courses welcome children over 8, and hire out all equipment.

This location is great as a central point for all of Florida's wonders. Just 1 hour from the Everglades, under 2 hours from Disney, Universal and all the other theme parks and less than 4 hours from Miami and then the Keys. Booking notes
A deposit of 10% of the total amount is required at time of contract to secure your dates. The balance will then be due 90 days before your arrival date. Payment can be by US Dollars, GBP's or Euro's. We have accounts in The US, UK, Italy and Ireland so bank transfers or any type of Check/Cheques are acceptable.

We just got home late last night from our stay in your place. We absolutely loved your place and we had a wonderful week. We loved the natural setting and made a trip to the dock every morning. The beautiful pool was a big hit too. It is so quiet which was just what we wanted. I gave rave reviews to my family while we were there and I know they have already booked for next year. Hello holiday seekers, thank you for viewing our villa. Linda and I are from Oxfordshire, England. We have been coming to Florida, with our children since the early 80's. It was then, when the kids were small, that we discovered and fell in love with Florida's Gulf Coast with it's beautifully clean 'sugar sand' beaches. The clear, clean, safe, warm gulf waters and all the wonderful wildlife that is all around you to marvel at and enjoy. All this and only a few hours from Disney of the Everglades.

Why the owner chose a home in this location
When we retired, we wanted our holiday home to be in this unspoilt part of the South West Gulf Coast. Which, unlike most of the Florida coast line, it is not built up. It still retains that 'old world charm' that Florida had and is now mainly lost in places like Fort Myers, Cape Coral and Naples. Come and see for yourselves!
Unique benefits of the property
Being within the South Gulf Cove Nature Reserve, you are privileged to see Florida's wonderful wildlife all around you. I have sat on the lanai and seen a sea eagle fly down and pick a fish out of the water just 30 feet in front of me. We have a 5 foot 'gator, who regally visits our canal and will lay on the surface, he never comes close, just watching you fish from the dock. We have hired kayaks and spent hours sailing around the reserve, fishing, crabbing and bird spotting. This is the real Florida. There is not a lot left so we feel very lucky to own part of it!
