Sanctuary Villa is located on the prestigious community of Rotonda West in Englewood on the Gulf Coast of Florida. The villa is built to the very highest standards and is furnished superbly throughout. Sanctuary Villa has approximately 3300sqft of living space offering a relaxing and calming ambiance for your vacation, including the tranquil view from the pool deck of the canal which offers a natural refuge for visiting wildlife. Our villa professionally and thoughtfully decorated throughout in refreshing Florida Keys and nautical colours, themes and accessories. Sanctuary Villa has its own south east facing solar-heated swimming pool within a spacious, extended pool deck with its lovely views over the canal on Rotonda West. There is plenty of room to relax, including master bedroom with en-suite bathroom, 2 more bedrooms, 2 more bathrooms. As a special feature for our guests, our home is equipped with unlimited, free of charge wireless internet access.

As a special feature for our guests, our home is equipped with unlimited, free of charge wireless internet access, and unlimited free of charge telephone calls to geographical landline numbers within the United States, Canada, UK, Germany, France, Spain and Puerto Rico. Sanctuary Villa is available to rent by the week or month all year round subject to availability.

Outside
Pool area - The fully screened solar heated pool is south-east facing giving access to the sun almost all day. However, the clever design of the house ensures that shade is always available when you need it. The lion head water features provide the calming sound of gently trickling water, and together with the view of the scenic canal and visiting wildlife, you are guaranteed outdoor rest and relaxation. There are luxury table, chairs and loungers on the spacious pool deck, where you can relax with a cool drink or dine 'al fresco'. The pool deck is equipped with a pool half-bathroom, consisting of toilet, washbasin and changing area. A ceiling fan on the pool deck can gently move the air for extra comfort on balmy days. Pool towels are provided. Breakfast 'alfresco' is an especially lovely way to start the day - you can enjoy your meal while watching the herons fishing for theirs!
Coast/Beach
Whilst staying at Sanctuary Villa you will find 4 beautiful Gulf beaches to choose from along with 2 State Parks and miles of fishing along Lemon Bay and the Charlotte Harbor Estuary.
Grande Tours offers a variety of marine tours in the Charlotte Harbour area, and is based a short drive away at Placida. Also offered are kayak rentals and fishing trips. The experienced guides will take you to the best spots for photographing and viewing dolphins, manatees and marine life.

Sports and leisure fishing - If fishing is your passion, then based all around the Rotonda West and its beaches are excellent opportunities for all types of fishing. All trips are only a few minutes drive from Sanctuary Villa. Just a couple of the fishing charters available are linked below. Fishing Charter Captain Fred has over 18 years fishing experience in Florida, and 10 years in Boca Grande, Charlotte Harbor and Pine Island Sound, on the Gulf of Mexico. Reel Charter Fishing Captain Kevin Lubold fishes the waters of Boca Grande, Charlotte Harbor, Lemon Bay and Pine Island Sound, Florida year round. These waters provide some of the best fishing that Florida has to offer, with air temperatures rarely dropping below 50 degrees, fishing 365 days a year is a luxury. Wildlife Refuges and State Parks are plentiful around the area.
Travel
Tampa airport is approx 1 hr 30 mins and Orlando 2hrs, whilst to the South there is the newly opened International airport of Fort Myers (1hr) and further south Miami (3hrs). Use of car essential.

The area is well served with shops and banks. The villa is ideally situated for visiting the fashionable districts of Venice, Siesta and Longboat Keys, Naples and the Islands of Captiva, Sanibel and Marco which are well known for the popular hobby of shell collecting. All these resorts lay on the coast of the Gulf of Mexico. To the South there is the Everglades National Park (2 hours). Port Charlotte Mall (15 mins) Sarasota (45 mins).
Booking notes
Bookings are normally only accepted for a minimum of 7 nights, and for a minimum of 14 nights for any bookings covering Easter or Christmas holidays. Please contact us if you wish to enquire about fewer nights stay. A provisional booking, made by telephone or email, will be held for one week only. In order to confirm your booking and to secure your dates, a non-refundable deposit of £100 ($150) per week or part week will be required along with a completed and signed booking form.
