Notes on accommodation
Villa Paradise is fully air-conditioned and can also be heated during the winter months if required. The villa layout is very child friendly.
Outside
Villa Paradise sits on a half acre plot facing south west to the rear. A particular feature of Villa Paradise is its secluded private pool deck, which enjoys the sun throughout the day. An extended roof provides a shady spot perfect for dining. There are four large sunloungers and a dining table with eight chairs. A gas BBQ (gas included) and some pool toys are also provided.
Coast/Beach
Beautiful beaches with calm seas are within a fifteen minute drive. The beaches are fabulous for shell collecting and dolphin and manatee spotting. The fishing is probably the finest in Florida. A great day out is to hire a boat from Captain Mark on Boca Grande, explore the barrier islands and have lunch at Cabbage Key.
Golf
There are six golf courses within a ten minute drive and another fifteen within a half hour. The Average cost with buggy is $25 per person (2005 prices). On Rotonda you can buy 50% discount voucher which applies to most courses in the area; all the courses are a challenge.
Travel
The nearest airport to Villa Paradise is Fort Myers (RSW). This is a small airport which is less than an hours drive to the villa. Tampa International airport is about a 2 hr drive, Orlando is approximately a 3 hr drive. Car hire essential.
Distances
Engelwood is only a ten minute drive from Rotonda and has a selection of malls and restaurants. Port Charlotte, with it's large shopping mall, is only twenty minutes away. Factory outlet malls are about an hours drive but worth a visit. Busch Gardens and a water Park, Adventure Island, are located in Tampa.
Further details
There are three large supermarkets in the local area. The Publix is just a ten minute drive and there is also a 24hr Walmart within easy reach. There are so many restaurants along the beach areas and in Port Charlotte. South beachbar & restaurant and the Loose Caboose at Boca Grande on Gasparilla Island are worth a visit, also Johnny Leverocks on the Englewood road. The villa has a more comprehensive list of restaurants in the area.

25% deposit when booking. The balance is due eight weeks before departure. A refundable security deposit is also required.
